With Sothos being more nature-oriented, there needed to be something more floral in the design, yet regal, so instead of there being an actual tree in the middle, there's a modified fleur-de-lis--it is a slightly more western european inspired kingdom after all. It is also similar to a fountain because of the role the kingdom plays with the river flow.
