Here’s something different! I haven’t drawn myself in another style in a very long time! But I was watching ‘drawing myself into anime’ videos on YouTube and figured I’d give it a good shot. I’ve been addicted to the Giant Robo OVA recently, so I picked a screenshot and decided to go with that. ⭐️I mainly used Daisaku as a reference, as we’re both pretty short, skinny, and overall small fellows. I honestly believe I’d likely be his height if I was in the Giant Robo universe (despite me being an adult). I don’t know what the scenario would be in the screenshot. Guess Gin-Rei is chatting to me, and Taisou and Tetsugyu wonder why I’m not paying attention to them. Little do they know though, I really do like Taisou, hahaha! 😅
Drawing this was loads of fun! The style was very easy to pin down, but trying to get the quality to match the old screenshot was a little bit more difficult. I had to test out sooooo many blurring and noise effects to get it to work. I like to think I somewhat succeeded. Anyway, I am happy to say that now have a good image of what Soph would look like in Giant Robo. Fun fact: the outfit Soph is wearing is what I was wearing whilst I was drawing this. 😁
