In my headcanon, Green 2 is a defective number due to being made by accident. 1, 2, 3, and 4 hate and rejected him, leaving him behind.
Feeling abandoned, Green 2 walks alone upset and sees a couple of letters. Meanwhile Y has woken up from her unconsciousness. She saw a 2 shaped figure, and thought he was the same 2 that attacked her and screamed. Green 2 screams as well and tries to shoot her. Y was about to attack but Q stopped her for a bit, and approached the threatened number. Q tells Green 2 to calm down, and he lowered his teeth but still nervous. He told Q why he walked away from other numbers feeling alone, abandoned, rejected, and being called useless. Q cheers him up and says wise words to Green 2. He now decided to become good and joined the letters side and thinks about getting a new name.

And that's my headcanon.
