How to recicle used CD's:
Venecitas (No se como traducirlo, supongo q es una manera de llamar a un mosaico) or mosaics with old CD's.
First we need is an old CD or DVD, a scrached one or one with no use.
We marked it to know where we have to cut. In this case I marked it like a "pizza". You can do it as you want, in squares or rectangles, stars or semicircles.
We cut it with scissors or cutter, and we remove the "silver" part. When you cut the CD, that part gets out easily. If you want you can keep it to use it like glitter.
When we have all the pieces clean, we paint it only in one side, Not in both.
I used this painting, that it's more cheaper, but you can use any acrilic painting.
We put another piece on (creo que asi se entendera, mas q con beside) the other. The acrilic must be between the two pieces.
Now comes the funny part but you have to be more carefully with it.
We take a fry pan and we cover the bottom with aluminium paper. You also can use a roasting pan (pizzera no creo q tenga traduccion) if you want to use the oven.
We put the pieces on the aluminium paper, keeping that they don't touch between them, and we put it on the fire. Don't overlook this part, we don't want a fire.
Cover the fry pan and over 5 or 15 minutes the plastic starts to melt and the 2 layers of the pieces start to melt together.
When you see it them melt enough, turn off the fire and let it get cold.
When them get cold, remove it from the paper, and you have something like this:
You can use it for several things, to do curtains and necklaces or to decorate boxes or frames. I will use it for decorate a frame and may be then I'll do a curtain. If I do it, I will show you photos.
