Summer's around the corner (or winter, if you live on the southern hemisphere...), vacations are approaching... Time's ripe for a contest!
Like I mentioned in my poll and journal, I'll keep it simple, yet I also tried to provide some variety by including various kinds of characters for you to choose whatever is more comfortable uwu Also, I love them all, so it was hard to pick...
Now, I'm aware many refs are rather sketchy (most of the victims are fairly new, so I had no time to draw them 'properly' myself - the main reason why I want them to get some love uwu) and my prizes are not as super-duper-cool as those of other contests. But rest assured, everybody who participates will get at least a little something ^^ And if you happen to be in a generous mood and want to contribute a prize or two, let me know <3

Long list, I know, but most of them are guidelines to anticipate possible questions ^^
No bases, no traces. It has to be your work.
Please stick to the original designs.
Please keep them within the rules of deviantART (deviations containing mature content should be marked as such, etc)
Although the descriptions provided are rather rough, try to not make them too ooc. In case of doubt, you can always ask
All entries must be 'elaborated' - please no mere doodles or busts. Chibis are fine, though.
All entries must be colored. Digital or traditional or mixed - no restrictions there.
All entries must be 'new'. Drawings submitted before today (June 21st) do not count uwu
Multiple entries per person are allowed and welcome.
Collaborative entries are allowed, as long as the integrants are able to get to an agreement regarding the prize in case they won.
You can draw any of the characters listed, or more of them together, or even with one or more of your OCs (FCs are fine, too, but no canon characters, please...)

Aiah
Personality: sexy, skilled, agile, hunter, enjoys risky situations.
Age: 24
Elements: Fire and Wind
Optional: include Shae, her familiar.

Aiko
Personality: cheerful, happy-go-lucky, sweet, childish, gullible.
Age: 12
Powers: is a miko, strong spiritual abilities, exorcism, healing.
Additional info: lives isolated in a small shrine in the middle of a forest, therefore is closer to nature than to humans. Regards animals and plants as her family.

Ethel
Personality: witty, sarcastic, funny, a perfectionist.
Age: 17
Abilities: fixing machines or any mechanical devices, comming up with creative ideas for inventions of herself.

Mizusagi
Personality: clumsy, moe-ish, a cry-baby, always afraid she will be late xD
Age: late teens/early twenties
Additional info: she's based on the white rabbit from 'Alice in Wonderland', her sign is diamond (red) and she's got an obsession on checking the time on her pocket watch.

Reina
Personality: friendly, extremely shy, gentle, motherly

Who will judge? Me, obviously, and eventually some hand-picked friends to get some second opinions and tie breakers :3 How will I judge?
Creativity! If I like your concept, then even if you're a bit less skilled in drawing than somebody else, you'd win.
Meaning/symbolism. Yes, that's my personal fetiche uwu I love drawings with meaning behind them, be it a story, a message or keyword, something emotional, something personal, something abiguous... If you're up to it, share those meanings in the artist comment or note them to me if you woud rather not post them in public ^^ Symbolism also comes in many shapes: a pose, a composition, a juxtaposition, an overal mood, a color theme... list's endless!
Subejctively. Yes, obviously my pick will be subjective. I will pick the drawings I like best as a whole. I have to like them. Not my friends, not my family, not my neighbours, not even you (?).
