Description
Ingens Profundum – (something like) enormous seaThis time it was very difficult for me to finnish this work. I worked my whole autumn-holidays on it and started to work on it a long time ago. It started when I was looking for some good stocks and while seeing all those great beach-scenes I got the idea of an underwater-scene with some fishes und coralls. To get the idea was easy but then I began to start looking for some good stocks. After writing a mail to every stock-artist I found 4 stocks, which were usefull for the sea and the underwater-scene.
I thought it couldn’t be that difficult to combine them but it was much difficulter than I thought. I had many problems with the underwater-scene until I changed the stocks and found something what fits better. I added some lights and so on and I had to change the shadows and the lightning on some objects but finally I had a good base to work on.
After creating and deleting some nebula-work I found something, which seemed to work.
There were many times, when I thought that all the effort I put into it isn’t worth but now I can say that I’m really in love with the result.
Thanks to Nameless-Designer for some good advices, the idea with the waterdrops and for the name
Thank you for the view
C/c and favs are highly appreciated!
[edit] I removed the waterdrops

Wow, sieht echt krass aus ! Der Übergang unterwasser/überwasser isn bissl komisch, aber geht trotzdem noch .
Was mir am meisten gefällt ist der Planet am oberen Ende. Der sieht wirklich übelst gut aus.

Awesome work!
I love the blue colour, the perspective with the dolphins and the rocks is a bit off but other then that it's great.

die idee is gut

What I like - the LARGE planet at the top. The general space work and landscape work.
What I don't like - all the small planets, because of there lighting. If I was to say you needed to work on anything, it would be planet lighting. Without the moons the piece would have a much better dynamic.

what's wrong with the lighting?
and thx for the comment

To be honest, it doesn't ring true. I see far too many people sticking in dual lighting set ups for no reason.
As I say, I think the dynamic of the piece will greatly benefit from just the single lightsource (dula lightsources in TS often look poor anyway.) PLay around with some different lighting of your planets too; they often just have the same kind of shadowing, try doing some long broad crescents or some very thin ones. Something new.

Very interesting. Looks kinda awesome.
The only thing I'm unsure is the "bubbles" on the sky, but it depends how you look at it, maybe it works though.
It's nice to see you have combined two such different scenes. Though they seem to work very well together. The colours are in great balance there's a nice feeling in it.
Great job!
