After Built Ford Tough left Monster Jam following 2010, Blue Thunder went into retirement in 2012 then returned in 2013 with a new look. In 2019, Blue Thunder driver Matt Cody brought the team its first world title by winning the first ever World Finals Speedster Obstacle Course Championship.
