Description
Deathstroke has been hired by a billionaire man to kill a former associate of his as revenge for betraying him years ago. With the location given, Deathstroke found the target living in an abandoned warehouse where he saw him with a band of gangsters having a group discussion. He goes in and hides somewhere to launch a surprise assault on the unsuspecting gang. Deathstroke waits until the meeting was fully concluded and pulls the trigger on one of the gang members. He then comes out of the shadows to make his intentions known to the crime boss.
The crime boss orders his men to execute The Terminator before he gets a chance to murder him. Before a fight could break out, another mercenary named Taskmaster shows up. Like Deathstroke, he was given the same goal to take the crime boss’ life for the same billionaire. To Deathstroke, he viewed this other assassin served as an obstacle and would not let him claim his prize. The crime boss ran away while his guys took on both Deathstroke and Taskmaster.
The two mercenaries slay all the gang members before going after the crime boss himself. Deathstroke and Taskmaster stalked the crime boss with the latter getting to him first. Realizing that he was cornered right in a position where he couldn’t escape, The Don tries to sway Taskmaster from killing him by promising a big amount of money but his plea fell on deaf ears. Just before he could finish off his target, Taskmaster sensed a knife hurling toward him and catches it with his hand. It was none other than Deathstroke who threw it and claimed that he will be the one to put the crime boss to his grave.
Taskmaster tells Deathstroke to find another ‘sheep to slaughter’ as this one was his. Deathstroke insisted that the crime boss will be killed by him instead and demanded Taskmaster to back off. However, Taskmaster decides to propose a challenge for both him and his competitor. The rule was simple: whoever takes out the other first win and gets the privilege of offing the crime boss for good. Deathstroke accepts of course. A showdown between two deadly mercenaries would soon commence.
