Excellent tutorial! I've come to the conclusion that "blob sketching" is ideal for when you're drawing on a tablet. Not so with traditional media. Unless you're painting with blobs and building upΒ everythingΒ gradually.

Nowadays I tend to start with a quick line across the entire canvas. I'll draw, undo, draw, undo, until I make something interesting that helps me visualize a body along that line.
