So me and Nevara have returned with yet another art piece, although this one may not be one people would expect. This one's not an OC, but rather, it's my favorite character in all of fictional media; Ruby Rose from the RWBY series! Ruby has meant a lot to me overall as a character. From the red and black color aesthetic to the rose gimmick. The sniper scythe and goofy leader personality. She's got everything I wanted and then some. Volume 7 of the show really started pushing EXACTLY the reason why I adored her so much, until eventually, Volume 9 came around. Everyone had their fair share of worrying for characters at first. Yang fans had the arm chop from Volume 3, Weiss fans had the shank from Volume 5, and Penny fans had...basically EVERYTHING for Volume 8. But for me, I felt relatively relaxed thinking Ruby really wasn't gonna get much harm done.

AND THEN VOLUME 9 HAPPENED.

The Volume had already gotten massive confirmation of being focused heavily on Ruby, and as the episodes went on...it really started putting my own personal conflicts into fruition. Seeing Ruby struggling with depression and the idea that she NEEDS to be strong as a leader until she inevitably breaks down thinking she can't do it anymore... That shit STUNG man lol. And yet, despite that, it made her redemption all the sweeter, making me realize that I can probably come outta this believing I'm enough, too.

I'll be getting this piece signed at GalaxyCon in just a few days by Lindsay Jones herself, and boy when I tell you this is prolly gonna be one of the biggest moments of my entire life. Hope y'all like it, and please go check out more of Nevara's works!
