Doesn't sound stupid at all, alot of people on DA don't really know what does vector actually mean. Vector is created using illustration programs such as Adobe Illustration, Adobe Photoshop, Inkscape, Ect.. . There programs uses Points, Lines and Shapes to create art that is clean. rather than blurry or pixelated that most people usually did.
