This was a huge under taking, the original is 6ft X 3ft. I hope the meaning impacts you.
There are 3 sections in the painting:
Left: Bright/Hopeful
Center: Stormy/Treacherous
Right: Mundane
In nature bison will charge into a storm. Cattle on the other hand react the opposite way.
The result is the bison will reach the other side of the storm quickly, while the cattle will be followed by the storm keeping them in it longer.
This painting illustrates facing your storms rather then fleeing from them. The result of facing the storm is hopeful and beautiful. The result of fleeing is mundane at best.
