yeahI don't know what to call this so have a stupid title
I lowkey hate this render due to the pain I went through with making it.
Wanna know what I mean?
MULTIPLE THINGS, ACTUALLY!!!
1- stage was way too big. had to resize it
2- took me way too long to figure out what hair material to use for Serena which didn't change her hair color too much but also didn't make her hair look washed out and way too light against the background. And even now I'm still not fully satisfied with what I chose. Hair materials are hard for lighter haired models
3- posing the skirts. enough said
4- choosing the right camera angle. I must have edited it over 50 times, including minor edits. and I'm not exaggerating, I edited it that much
5- debating whether or not to keep self shadow on (I ended up keeping it on since I like how it made the frosting and ice cream look. But it just occurred to me now that I could have turned self shadow off for the models but not the stage... frick)
6- lastly, raycast settings
the faces just looked so blurry and I kept on trying to fix it but the edits I made ended up making the stage not looking as good as I wanted it to. I ended up making a separate render with the settings changed a lot to make the faces clearer (image will be posted later), but it sacrificed some of the pretty effects on the stage and also the faces STILL weren't 100% visible. They looked better in a close up view, but that hid the stage and the stage was the MAIN INSPIRATION FOR THIS RENDER.

I'm calm now
so I wanted to make something with the seasonal Serena and Dawn models, and when looking through my stage collection I found this pretty stage which reminded me of them, so I decided to make this cute render of them hanging out on top of cakes!
While making this, I thought it'd be cool if I edited my chocolate ray material to be albedo to see if it'd work as frosting, and it worked really well! I'll likely release a pack of frosting materials based upon this.
also, I am SO hyped about the latest Masters event! anniversary N looks so cool, and Lillie's galaxy themed dress? heck yeah, galaxy themes for life!!!!!
but yeah
despite all the struggles I had while making this, overall I do like this render. it just was a PAIN to make.
also I have downloads on so you can use it as a desktop background if you like. but if you repost it anywhere please credit me!!! I worked hard on this, aight?
