Description
a self portrait. this is the last time you'll see me in front of the camera. i don't belong there for obvious reasons. > .<;;;;everyone told me to take portraits but no one would pose, so i took one of myself.... grumble.
by the way, i'm a girl.. for those who were wondering earlier....
well.. enjoy if you can stomach it.
PS- please disregard the weird unproportionate sizes that deviantart is making the pics.. that goes for every pic... --;

Anyways, back to commenting on the picture... This is awesome! I love the composition, it works well and it is rather unique. I also love how it is "divided" with your hair at the top and face at the bottom. Ummm..... It's got good exposure. And the shading is nice. The only thing that I wish was different is the focus... it could be just a bit more in focus. Other than that it is damn near perfect! Excellent job!

i like the way u look and i like ur eyes and i like the photo and i like its composistion, its tone, and its lines. very nice, u can go anywhere. in front, behind, below, on top of the camera...lol. u can do it all.

By default, everyone is so critical of their own looks and are usually self-conscious in front of the lens. I don't like photos of myself either... but you are cute... gorgeous.

I like the angle of the shot, and the lighting is great. How did you light this? what did you use?
I actually don't see why you're complaining, I think you're really beautiful. In a way, your torment relieves my same torment because I realize how distorted our images of ourselves often are.

confused as to why you're so harsh on your self portraits?
Not only do you make a wonderful model, but the image itself is quite nice.
The only quirk here, is my uneasiness of it being on it's side.
Not that it's a problem, just interesting change.

Yah you obviously shouldnt be infront of a camera. it would be way too easy to make beautifull shots. so instead go into the cold harsh world and try to find beauty in it. which you do well too. I like the shot. i love panorama type shots and the boarder is really cool. not to mentionthe subject matter.

the bluriness adds the right touch to the photo .. as well as the crop..

I think you'll find that a lot of people are willing to pose, you just have to look in the right place and talk to the right people. Check out message boards at local art school and community collages. I managed to find a model (who incidentally appears in a good number of my shots) who only wants 10 bucks an hour. It gives her some cash to play with as well as giving me some great opportunities to try out new stuff. When i had access to a darkroom, i even gave her a couple of prints.

i like the shot and the 'lying down' composition of this image.. it feels lazy and reminds me that I'm sleepy and lacking sleep
the B&W looks great on this one, and the soft focus gives it a warm fuzzy feeling.... nice work

and what would those "obvious reasons" be? your eye is beautiful, and so is your expression - and to have photographed it this way, you had to have talent as well... these are the things that seem obvious to me, but they don't appear to point to the consequence you've drawn.
