Pweeeeh, finally finished! It took way too long to complete.Homestuck characters in fantasy outfits. Because why not?
Beta kids: Dave, Jade, Rose and John.
This is first set, I want to make others too.
For now, I see sets like this:
1. Beta kids *you are here*
2. Gamzee, Tavros and Vriska:
3. Nepeta, Karkat and Terezi:
4. Sollux, Aradia and Equius.
5. Eridan, Feferi and Kanaya.
Not sure if I'll make Alpha kids. Maybe. But ancestors and others... Not likely. I will probably have enough after drawning trollsxD It's a lot of work, after all.

Well, yes, I couldn't decide how to deal with sets, so I went with shippingxD It could be easier, if I didn't shipped everything. Seriously, I multiship way too much, so it was hard.

Sure, I know that I'm making lots of mistakes and stuff, but people never tell me what I should work on (everything, I guess).

Well your anatomy is very nice and the hair and skin are nicely coloured. You costume designs however seem a little over detailed and it can be a little distracting. Jadeβs outfit for examble, there is a LOT going on there and itβs hard to appreciate the finer details. Sometimes less is more in character design and you should focus on the silhouette of the characters. Some of the outfit and the shape of the characters gets lost in the large amounts of clothing.
However a lot of fantasy games choose to use a lot of detail in their characters so that might have been what you were going for but be careful with the colour choices
Also try looking at how materials reflect light. Iβm not sure what kind of material these clothes are made from and theyβre all shaded the same. Metal reflects light very differently from cotton or wool or leather. Try picking materials when considering how the colours going to be drawn or coloured, because different materials hang and fold in different ways too. There are plenty of people on DA who do stock of different materials and clothes so it might be worth following a few or maybe keeping a log of them somewhere?

Ok... Well, doing a lot of detail on clothes is kinda my thing. It's in my style I guess. But I will try to town it down when doing troll's desings.
Shading was kinda troublesome... I tried to colour it differently than usual and it's still in 'figuring it out' fase. I'm not experienced with simple shading, so it didn't turned how I wanted. Guess it will take me some time, too.
