Description
This piece is part digital painting and part photo manipulation. Upper body (skin part) is my own stock which is painted over. For the dove head i used photo reference (for rest of dove used nothing) and painted it. Zeppelin is painted over illustration. All the rest is painted from scratch and mixed with some textures.Tools: PS & Graphire4.

this is a character from not this world. She stands exactly on the line that crosses two sides. First is the world of livings and the other is the world of souls. She hears everything from the both side and she knows the truth. Black bird is the messenger from the livings and the bird in the cage is a messenger from the dead.

I love how you reversed the steriotypes as far as life and death go with birds; normally I see that dark birds, crows and ravens, are symbols for death while doves and other white birds are symbols for life.

When I saw this painting the thought "gothic Salvidor Dali peice" came to mind-but then again he's done some really "dark" work! I don't care how this was made! I admire this alot. This is the whole reason art was made. So we all could have a special place where there are no rules, whether it's by words, sounds, sights, or even smells-once that is censored humans have nothing. I truly think art is really what separetes humans from animals. We've killed, ate, slept, created-just like animals can. But I'd like to see an animal make something worthy being called art and know what it was and what's the meaning behind it.
(By the way I enjoyed the eyeglass on her the most-gives it a post-renaissance look)
