I can't tell you enough how stoked I am about this image. This is so close to the kind of photography I want to be doing.
I had this idea of using sequins on lips for a while. When I found this chair (underneath all the clothes and stuff) at +suzi9mm 's I just fell for it. It looks so gorgeous in my opinion. If I had a chair like that it would be in all of my pictures.
Anyways, this was supposed to be more of a straightforward makeup shot, but the chair was too yummy to leave out. And even though you can't see the lips as clearly I think they still add that glamour.Model is the ever-gorgeous +suzi9mm .

And this is exactly what I see you do so perfectly. I'm sure Jen is gorgeous to begin with, but I can see that you have all that it takes to present any girl (or guy or child) in their most beautiful and perfect way.
And what you did with that long strand of hair is something that most of us would have overlooked and that gives the portrait so much extra flow and dimension.
I am very impressed. Congratulations on this one.

if you have some tinier sequins maybe you can add them at the corners of her eye too? maybe 2 or 3 to add the illusion of a longer eye or something...

I was gonna do the eyes as well but then decided it might be overkill. Probably going to do a sequinned eyemakeup with more plain lips at some point.

Sequins... a chair... and bam, you have a photo shot that sums up in it's entirety what I try to capture and do with my art. Take normal things or people, and show them looking so beautiful or primed, that it almost seems unreal to look upon somethign so "perfect".

Fantastic, Marianne! A wonnderful exposure, the detail in the hair adds huge value here. And that chair is so rich/deep of a color and it works so wonderful with the black. I really enjoy the movement and play with shape of the hair on the couch. I am very pleased with the perspective and pose, and the light quality is of a professional value! What was the lighting set up here, I am very curious. Again, wonderful execution.
