I've held on to this piece for quite some time. It was initially just a fun project for me. Then there was another project I applied for, so I kept it under wraps until I have confirmation whether or not I made it in. I did not, so this piece is now free in the wild for you all to see.

The piece itself was quite a challenge, lighting and shadowing especially. I can't even tell you how many times I thought I was finally done; I keep seeing more and more small mistakes I felt needed to be touched upon. The work in progress started with no orange lighting. I felt it had to be added to give it more life. I also didn't think of adding posters on the bus stop windows until later and that in itself gave it more character (see if you can recognize any KH references and where that come from). Of course, we also have the rainy night i the city setting. This was a setting I wanted to attempt on trying out for a while now. It made it easier to try matching the mood of it all from the song that inspired me to do this project youtu.be/ghSM8YPG8BA (bit of a late 90s nostalgic mood I hope to be able to capture)

If anyone here enjoys the anime Aggretsuko, you may have noticed that Young Xehanort is wearing Haida's outfit. The song was not the only thing that drove me to draw this. I neglected to mention that this project was because of a tweet on Twitter was part f trend that's simply boiled down to "show me how your art improved by drawing your favorite character". To keep it brief, this was not the first time I drew Y!Xehanort in the outfit and figured I'd challenge myself to redo the artwork with more mood and improved artist skill.

Needless to say, I'm very proud how this turned put despite the constant refixes and refinishing touches. Drawing Young Xehanort was especially always fun to do, can't get enough of him (> v <)
