Lapis Lazuli prefers to be called Lazuli over Lapis. He's pretty insubordinate and Lazy which is why he was branded as defective. Look at his eyes their dead inside lmao. Anyway he's one of the older gems that's been with Star, and he's made it known that he is loyal to Star not Grey Diamond, the Diamond Authority, or New Homeworld, not just because they wanted to shatter him, but he just doesn't have any connect or respect for any of the aforementioned things.

Star often tells him not to say that when they have company or are out in public. When Jasper and Amethyst aren't around he guards the door to the sanctuary. He used to sit there with Agate, but now that she's been shattered he lurks outside the doors alone. He doesn't say much and tends to give judgemental looks more than anything.

He holds a lot of respect for Star and even if he doesn't always listen to the Sapphire he enjoys Star's company and would not hesitate to turn against anyone or anything for Star or even give his life, a thing most of the Sanctuary gems would do despite Star saying its not necessary. Star often comes to talk to him and Lazuli is just content to listen.
