I mean, really...what is it even? It's great, and I've seen many close-ups and macros of insects on DA, but I'm always afraid to ask...what is it? I don't recognize insects so close up. Whose face is that?
And how on earth did you do it?

It is a mantis, a very small one. I saw it one day on my bedside table. It was very curious and not very afraid, and I was eager to take photos of it. But it was very difficult to focus it the way it wanted, and it was very blurred. Therefore I edited it a little bit with a texture, so that it is not so obviously blurred. IΒ΄ll send you an original picture, maybe you can get a better impression of it seeing the original!

I saw the texture. It was just...I've never seen a mantis that close, or in my house, or anything. And my husband freaks out and kills everything he sees gets into the house. Stuff comes out in the dark outside...but I don't go out there to take pics then.
