I wasn't going to do this prompt but I chose to at least try and stop being SO lazy and uncaring about doing any art. "I mean really...", I told myself. "It isn't like you are actually expending any real effort..."So what I was actually gong to do when I decided to do something was a wave. Because a wave of the ocean is salty. But despite having seen a Bob Ross episode making doing a windswept wave look so easy [and truly I am sure it is that easy] I couldn't seem to do one that made me happy. Then I thought of Lily, She can be salty for sure. And spicy and sweet, but never sour. Then I thought maybe a mermaid so I could still do the stretch of 'salty' because of the ocean. I also thought of Doing Space Girl Tina with an eye patch looking all pirate-y and saying "Arr!" because she is fun like that but I decided against it as that seemed much more a stretch for salty. What else is salty other than flat out salt? Ramen! And I doodled that but it didn't at all look good. So I set it aside and gave up for the night.
Today I decided I would dare another try. As I continued pondering salty it hit me. Pretzels!!!
I really like pretzels. The hot/soft ones I like with mustard. I've known people who like them with ketchup, mayo, cheese, or relish. So however you like yours, no judgement here. I will say that ketchup on a hot pretzel is not as bad in real life as it sounds but still, I'm a mustard person. I also really like pretzel rods with Nutella. I mean, I can eat a LOT of Nutella with just a spoon but pretzels rods and Nutella are good friends. As is peanut butter and pretzels. Or just plain pretzels. They are good...
So, what actually happened was I decided to take the scrap paper that was originally for warm up for the great piece I was going to do, you know, the one with the 'practice ramen noodles' on it and warm up with Lily looking/being salty as well as being in the salt of the ocean. Which again I intended just for scrapping around. But then I was like oh heck, whatever and just drew the pretzel on the same s/crap paper. Decided to put a little color in for fun and there you have it. The whole mess.
