I bought this kit from a guy on Facebook in 2012 maybe five months before I found out he was a recaster. It was missing two inches from its "beak". Its fins weren't well cast either. And there were voids and bubbles that needed filling. So the guy sold it to me as is for maybe $25. But I think it turned out well. To this day I don't know who originally produced this kit. The sculpt is very much in the style of John Sibbick, a well known paleo-artist. The model is 13.5 inches long or 34.3 cm. This makes the model to be 1/17 scale for a 6 meter long Ophthalmosaurus.
