i'm going to be the odd one out and say i like the pic and the tital

on a personal level, talking form the point of someone who has attempted on many times to commit suicide, i'm not offened by this kind of art, i like it. no, not because it turns me on, but because i can -identify- with it. and thats all art is, being able to identife with the subject matter.

now, that thats said, i like the tital "feeling blue"

thats what depression is right? its feeling blue. its an oh my GOD i'm feeling blue kinda thing... just an extream case.

the darkness of the picture tends (in my sick twisted mind any way) to creat a sence of ending. that the life has faded and all their is left is darkness. which is how people think when they consider suicde. the blood being "sticky" almost shows that the hand would have been their for a while, its not too freash (not old and rotten) just maybe 10minutes 30 minutes old. which is why the lighting wouldnt be black either because the life form the body is FADING not FADED.
which is good.
the boder frams it nicely, and the text is good.

and as for that other comment, why would any one commit suicde over a sink?

beause, suicide steams form self hate. you try to re concet with yourself by lookingin a mirror. the safest place in the house where you wont be distrubed is the bathroom as it normal (9.5/10 times) has a lock or a latch.
and you stand there, wanting to reconcet with yourself, to feel real. you cans ee yourself, but you want to feel yourself. to know that yes, i am real.. so the whole sink idea is wonderful as well.

anyways, thats just my thoughts on it, i rekon you've done a pretty good job.
it sums up how i felt last night and i can identify with it

this type of art has been done before. to death (no pun intended ). and i think the whole 'fake slit wrist' thing is a little offensive to people who contemplate or have attempted to commit suicide. suicide is different from cutting your wrist a couple times and posting it with a sad little stanza. however, i dont believe self-mutilation is art either, and i also think it is offensive to people who have a serious mental problem. but thats just me. some people like the wrist cutting photography... and the sick fact is... its because they find it erotic. there's some sickies out there.

however, i think this picture is a little too dark. i like the blue and the red and such, but the darkness makes it look like your washing some paint off your hands. i also think the title is a little weak for the serious subject matter... like taking a picture of someone getting their head blown off and titling it "got a headache".

I think a body or a head slumped over the sink would be more dramatic and/or original than a hand. Or maybe even laying bloody UNDER the sink... er... I'd rather not think about it much more than that. As others have said, it's a little overdone, and "feeling blue" doesn't really match the tone of the image...

It does not match the title, feeling blue and suicide don't go together, the image reminds me more of hoplesness than feeling blue. technically it's pretty sound. I like the other one better.

Okay.. so, why would someone who has slit their wrist, in a vain attempt to end their own life, stand over the sink?.
Sorry to sound bitchy but you wanted constructive crit. I like the mood you have set but the scene and composition are a different story.

Yeah well, I'm not photographer, but as a picture, I really like it. The blue with the central focus of red and the hand with the diagonal line of the arm. Also with the focus being lighter, drawing more attention. It's good.
