Description Mistakes and regrets
That’s all I have left,
Stepping outside one crisp fall evening.

Mistakes and regrets
I tilt my head skywards and take a deep breath.
A soft mist of rain coats my skin.

Mistakes and regrets
I close my eyes and grit my teeth.
A breeze numbs my cheek.

Mistakes and regrets
All the things I wish I’d said.
Leaves falling from the trees.

Mistakes and regrets
How many more can I carry.
The moon hidden behind cloud.

Mistakes and regrets
…and regrets
My only mistake…

I love the imagery with this. I especially like the last lines. It's a very good ending to a great poem.

hey i like this a lot, the ending especially. i'm not sure if you need to repeat 'mistakes and regreats' at every stanza though. i know it produces a certain ringing effect, but the other words you use are just as good...maybe you could try only using 'mistakes and regrets' at the start of the first and last stanzas, or even alternating just the word 'mistakes' at the beginning of one and 'regrets' at the beginning of the other. anyway, great job and thanks for giving me an opportunity to check out your awesome poetry and photos!
