very powerful image. i agree with ~bdusen about how well the pose works.
great composition. i love the extreme shadows.
but by far i think my favorite thing about this image would have to be the shadow falling across the face. its almost as if youre saying something about every scar youve ever had.

Great use of lighting and shadows. The black and white works perfectly and the expression of turning away from the camera works really well too.
