The battle began sometime yesterday. But it resolved something else.
It was revealed that everyone in Modus Tripudium Opera held a fragment of Carol's crystal. Each character represents a fragment of Carol's past. Even Darren.

But knowing that it still didn't solve the problem, Pitt attacks again when he wakes up.

It's Hate, Stone and Carol against Pitt. On the notion that the Dreamworld is better than the real world in every way, and he invites specifically Carol to abandon her duties and join him in the headspace world. Hate and Stone are playing tug-of-war with Pitt, Carol in the middle fighting for her place in the real world.

After going through the glass Backroom, Darren and Carol bonded slightly well, Darren finally being on Modus's good side.
So in here, Darren is Carol's plus-one, as her player one behind the screen.

The fight is currently ongoing. It's either Pitt winning and snatching Carol with him with no work done, or Carol winning with Modus's help and finally getting things done.
