Jumping into a new place, a new experience, is kinda' scary. The unknown. The hidden. It's like diving into dark water. What is down there? How deep is it? How safe? Is there something down there waiting?

When I was invited to the LEFA, I did not hesitate. I knew I could swim with the big girls. I have toured the world, wrestled in big arenas, fought in small towns, grappled in local gyms... anywhere that would have me and give me a challenge. I was not afraid of that challenge. So, when Megan invited me to the League of Extraordinary Fighting Angels I said YES without really knowing what I was getting into. Some of the names I'd heard before, but I don't travel in the same circles as many of the women here.

So, when it came time for my first match in the League, I could have pulled anyone's name. I got Jenna Nadasi. She's not a wrestler. She's what they call an underground fighter. Like a human pit bull, thrown into a no rules fight until someone can't go on. She's three inches taller than me, ten pounds of muscle heavier, and built like a skin covered machine.

If the LEFA is like a pond... or an ocean... then she's a shark. A great white shark. A.. um... apex predator, they say during Shark Week. Now,.I've handled predators before. In a ring. With some rules. Or on a mat with even more rules. The goal, just to get a pin or get a tap. In Fighting Angels, you can get the tap, go for a knock-out or a long five-count pin. Five seconds may not seem long, but compared to three? It's a lifetime.

The dark water? The things waiting down in the deep? They better be the ones to watch out... for me. There's another predator in the sea. The electric eel. Quick, strong, powerful. Hard to hold onto. It will shock your system... then devour you.

So, heads up ladies of the LEFA. Mo Fei Chen... the "Electric Dyna-Mo" is diving HEAD FIRST into the pool with you. And win or lose, that shark Jenna will know she's been in a fight.
