I'm getting an art table this Ai-Kon. I KNOW. After like.. 8 years since my last convention as an artist. I don't know how to do these things!I was like "Do I... keep my prints to myself to make them a surprise? Do prints that nobody knows about sell better?" See, I don't know these things.
So anyways, I've been saying I wanted to do a picture of GlaDOS for a while now, since I was completely obsessed with both the first and second games. Having an art table seemed like the perfect excuse to get new artwork ready!
So.. you should come by my table and buy this and/or some of my other prints at Ai-Kon!

I don't know why I didn't favorite this before!Ā Portal is one of my favorite games ever and you depicted glados beautifully!Ā I wouldn't have attempted glados.Ā She's so detailed with all her cables and what not.Ā

This was actually one of my later pieces where I did scanned inks instead of the all digital I do now.Ā It was really hard to clean up my ugly ink lines.Ā I'm sure I could make it more detailed!
I don't think I have it in my to draw her again though.

It's nice to see you so committed to drawing.Ā Every time I compliment you on a piece you're always so humble about it.Ā saying you can make things more detailed, or, 'oh it's not detailed it's just large.'Ā You're always looking for something to get better at and I respect that.

I'm sure if you commented on this closer to when I did this, I would have been less humble!Ā I was really proud of this at the time!

XDĀ Alright.Ā I think that's a challenge accepted.Ā I wanted to draw a portal print for ai-kon anyway.Ā Human versions are fun, but I think I wanna draw all those cables and what not, (although I'm already regretting those words.)

Oooh, do you mean art cards as in prints? Or are art cards something else that newbies like me don't understand!

My table partner got me hooked on them, they are art done on like a trading card size piece of paper (I have been using smooth bristol board). They can be prints but for most people they are original art. I do not think my stuff is good enough for prints, but good enough to sell the original art ^^ I have a preview of them in my scrapbook if you want to see what I am talking about.

Wooo.. I'm mostly doing half-page sized art for a similar reason. I think we suffer from chronic lack of confidence!

At the moment, this is my only 8.5 x 11 print. Because my love is twice as big for GlaDOS!
I still need to figure out what I'm doing for display stands and whatnot. And a sign! ACK!

As for whether to keep them to yourself or not.. I don't know whether it makes them sell better or not. But you could always post some, create some hype, and keep some off dA until after Ai-kon for the element of surprise? Hmm...

Well, I'm sure advertising a few pieces can't be wrong. I mean, most people are surprised at the idea that I even draw most of the time.

Welll, the way it was worded.. I was worried that somehow she DIDN'T have a table! We've had winners that have declined tables in the past.
I was getting my rant ready on how tables became available again and was completely prepared to berate her on the utter sin of her not being there.
