Being born with a disfigured face, Gerald Wolowitz was shunned by everyone around him, including his own family. After running away from home at the age of 16, Gerald fled to the forests of Canada, and sought comfort from the insects, who for some reason he beleived praised him as their king. Now on the run with only insects to comfort him, he eventually came across a nuclear power plant owned by Dr. Victor Cyrus. [link] After inhailing the strange fumes coming from the plant, the resulting mutation caused Gerald's DNA to splice with the insects crawling on his skin, thus he became the hybrid of a human, a spider, an ant and a hornet. Now with his new insect body, he walks on six legs, can lift 50 times his own weight and can spin webs of great lengths. With these new abilities this beast is ready to bring forth the "Age of the Bug"
