This is great. There are far too many kids jumping straight into manga style with no foundation in the human face and figure. That's why there are so many characters with half of their faces covered with hair or hands tucked behind their backs or standing on water. The details of the face, hands, feet, and the body in general are essential for any form of cartoon.

Very funny. I love the look on the model's face.
Great idea, regaurdless of what kind of art you do or want to do, learning realism is incredibly helpful.

From my experience, drawing realism when you drew manga firstly is a real pain in the ass. Not impossible, but goddamn.

This is awesome if only because there's such a stigma against anime/manga in the art school as being generic and lacking in personal style. In any case, brilliant
Congratulations on the DD

That is a really cool concept, I never even thought of it. The interaction between the two has such a bold line keeping it separated it's pretty cool to see them integrated like this.

Geez, what are you talking about? Your discription of your picture is already yelling at your audiance for a judgment that has not even happend yet. I for one love the fact that ist opposite. Drawing a Manga/Anime charactor and making them look real. I think this is a very cool concept and i think this is very nicely drawn in the to different styles.
