Description
Initially meant to be a fast work, I spent whole three month into this model which during the work process became a test bed of many new techniques. It also doesn't help that I later realised just making the rifle is not enough, I had to make tactical attachments as well because that's what make a weapon modern. (to us casual gamers, that is) As a result, it became my first work to utilize alpha mapping and spline. It also marks the first practical use of bump modelling, allowing the creation of a mass-issued model that's 10 times smaller than the base model in poly count. Overall, it is an important milestone for me.

Not included in the picture are a Type 3 bayonet, two types of VOG-25 grenades, a 96-rounds drum magazine, and etc.

PS. Ратник means "Warrior", a Russian future infantry combat system program in which the AK-12 was selected to be its weapon component.
