Description after trying to understand duo's alien surf's one and two for a month and a bit, i finally came out with this it's the same sort of idea... kinda... takes a texture and makes it bumpy, then moves around the bumpyness...

i tried a lot harder to make an interesting texture this time, tried to make it look as waterlike as possible, so i hope everyone likes this

Excellent use of movements. I was really impressed by how you got the visual response in this preset, using that render to create the blue in the waves & then having a waves movement to form it, very very clever & aesthically pleasing at the same time. & what cannot be said for that incredible DynMove, holy cow, that's awesome. Actually, I do have a little complaint about it, the spinning is a nice touch, but what you really need is some sense of linear direction. Take the buffer save out of the effect list & place it just outside, then add a y=y+t DynMove before it. See the difference? Just a suggestion.

& while I'm honored that you guys mentioned my "Skies Fall In" preset, you completely forgot about "Liquid Ocean" one of my defining presets, coming out of Somner Ilicidad. If you haven't seen it, Molty, I suggest you do so, then you'd see some ideas!

very nice, the wavy movement gives it a much greater water-like effect than alien surf. this definately beats alien surf.
keep it up

I think the surface movement is pretty cool for an ocean look, almost seems as if long sea anenomes (sp?) are moving below it. I remember Nemo did a water surface for his Skies Fall In Intro, maybe check that out for some ideas.
