Description
As you can see, I've added LOTS of stuff since posting the previous photo of Mini Erik: a coffin (a nod to the novel), Ayesha (a nod to Kay), blueprints and sheets of music scattered across the floor (a nod to the movie), and Erik's mini-theater!Only a couple last things to add - a "stone" surface and some more (covered) mirrors.
Some day I'll get around to it.

Hmm . . . this didn't come up in the Phantom of the Opera category under the keywords, so I'm trying it again with the keywords here.

How do you dust something like this without destroying it?!
Also, still in for our collaborative work? I survived November, so I have free time again.

"Dusting?" What is this "dusting" of which you speak?
Seriously, I don't dust it. Perhaps the Phantom doll on occasion, but none of the rest.
It hasn't really been up long enough to collect a lot of dust - less than 9 months - and many of the pieces were added later.
Sure, I'm still up for it, though quite truthfully I don't see what I could contribute to the effort besides dolls. But if you're game, so am I.

Haha, alright. You must have a better air cleaning system than we do.
Well, you'd be posing and taking the pictures, which is a lot of work. I'll come into the store sometime soon and we'll chat about it.

No, no better air cleaning system, just a higher tolerance for dust.

Thank you.
I admit, despite its faults, I LOVED the movie. (Can you tell? ) If nothing else, it introduced me to the wonderful world (Leroux, Kay, movies, fanfic & art, and more) of PotO.
One of my favorite pieces (besides Erik, of course!) is the miniature theater which, I am quite pleased to say, I actually made myself. Ah, the wonders of printers, cardboard and glue. If you look carefully, you can see it even has tiny Don Juan and Aminta "dolls."

Oh yeh I looked at it for about 10 mins and the more I looked the more impressed I was. I use to love Victorian doll houses. I really appreciate miniatures. A lot of love and care went into it I can tell.

Thank you.
I love miniatures, too. I've been building (kits) and collecting them for more than 30 years. My all time favorite piece is a WORKING compass that I bought decades ago . . . I can't remember if it was at an antique store or a miniature store that sold antiques. Anyway, the housing is sterling, and the glass is actually beveled! All in about 3/8 of an inch in diameter.
There's a lot that really can't be seen in my picture - mostly on Erik's desk. There's a container of paint brushes; another container with pencils, colored pencils, and a working magnifying glass; a quill & ink pot; a note from O. G. that has yet to be "posted" (I made that myself, too. ) A small table next to the desk contains food and wine for two (a tribute to a phanphic I like); and on the throne, though you really can't see them well, are opera glasses and a theater program, and a jewelry set.
The amusing thing is, I bought the opera glasses and program set through an online miniature store, and the program is for "The Phantom of the Opera!" (I think it's taken from a book cover or an original movie poster. Whatever the source, I've seen the picture before.)
I don't know if it was merely coincidence, or if the seller specifically chose that set because I told her I was doing a PotO tableau, but isn't that a hoot?!
I bought some of the music scattered about, but some of it I printed myself. Did you know there are sites that have free "printies?" (Music is kind of hard to find, though.)
Wow, aren't you sorry you got me started?

Hehe that's awesome. It was probably form Lon Chaney's silent movie or it's Leroux's original book cover. lol not at all. Actually I'm glad to find some so passionate about something. I think it's great.

Thank you. "Passionate about something" is MUCH kinder than "obsessed" (which is what I TRULY am when it comes to PotO. )

lol I get that a lot too. Obsession alludes to some sort of craziness being creative is not crazy.

Guess that means I'm "passionate" about Legos, "Forever Knight," "The Real Ghostbusters," "Dark Shadows," and Superman, too.
