Description
So I sort of started this cosplay on a whim- I was really inspired to make another ballgown after doing Belle's, and Aurora's gown just seemed like such a fun patterning challenge. All pieces were patterned and sewn by me including the bodice, peplum, skirt, slip, and even petticoats!I am especially proud of how the off-the-shoulder collar/neckline turned out. I hadn't seen anyone do it in quite the same classic silhouette as the movie, so I went out of my way to make a dozen or so patterns to get it to work just right, while still giving me a decent range of motion, and it worked perfectly! The sleeves are even a stretch taffeta that helps give me a little more movement.

I also made the tiara and necklace out of PETG plastics. I'm so happy with how this look turned out, I've started collecting similar materials in blue to make an alternate version, but I just can't seem to find a main blue satin that I like! Ah well, maybe someday But I definitely also have to make the Briar Rose/peasant dress too. All of Aurora's looks are just absolutely timeless. <3
