NOT MY ARTTime for more Peppermint! Peppermint's my newest character that I won from Draft Horse in an auction. After receiving Peppermint, I decided to get some art of her stealing her father's body! Yep, Jam has a kid now and she's a body-thief too. XD
The pic was drawn by Draft Horse and the story was done by me! The character was originally created by Draft as well. All characters within the story are owned by me!

And here's Peppermint's reference sheet:
Introducing the daughter of Jam, Peppermint! by Monkey-Scientist on DeviantArt
Story:
Machines are often meant to serve those who create them, though this isn't always the case. Giving a machine an advanced AI can often lead to robot uprisings or really bad Matrix sequels. However, advanced AI can sometimes create rebellious creations who just want to party all night. Peppermint was a robot with just such a flaw. She was Jam's newest creation, made after Jam decided he needed a robot electrician to help in his lab.
He decided the electrician should be a moth, because he found it strangely fitting. After building the robo-moth, Jam put her to work fixing electrical issues in his lab. As the weeks passed by, he found himself starting to care for her. In turn, Peppermint started to view Jam as a father. Jam viewed her as a daughter of sorts right back, but didn't want to admit it. After all, he had a lot of robots in his lab and tended not to play favorites. Things changed one day when Peppermint was finishing up her work in the lab.
Peppermint had just finishing rewiring all of Jam's body-swap machines, making them 1% less likely to explode after usage. While Peppermint may be a skilled electrician, she certainly didn't look like one. She was a five-foot-tall robo-moth, nearly twice the height of her "father". She had a green-and-pink body with high-tech wings and a large neon thorax.
She had fancy futuristic antennae attached to her small and compact head, along with a tuft of synthetic hair covering her neck. These tufts of hair covered her legs and many arms as well! She finished up her repair work for the day and flexed her wings, right before turning towards the door to leave.
Her monkey-scientist "dad", Jam, leapt out of seemingly nowhere and landed in front of her, "Where do you think you're going, moth lady?"
Peppermint winked a digital eye at Jam, "Heading out to a party, pops!"
"I'm not your 'pops' and you really shouldn't,"
"Why not?"
Jam grumbled and walked behind the moth, right before flipping over the panel on her back. Doing this revealed a digital display on her back that read, "Power at 1%".
Peppermint screeched and closed her panel, "Dad, what the hell?! You can't just look at a robot's display like that!"
"You're at 1% power, Peppermint. You'd run out of power climbing down the tree and fall,"
"But I want to go out and party!"
"I can't let you go, Peppermint! Come on, let's go get you charged,"
Peppermint sighed and relented, following Jam to a nearby charging station. The charging station was a pair of large fluorescent lights attached to an an ancient machine. It was so old that it had red and yellow RCA connectors attached to it, like the composite video cords attached to old VCRs.
"Dad, this machine is crap! It's old and takes hours to charge!"
"Don't worry, I ordered a new one! It should arrive next week,"
"That's too long to wait, I want to party now!"
Jam shook his head and plugged the wires into the moth, causing her shoulders to slump over and her body to become immobile, "Too bad, Peppermint! Robots require constant recharging and you just don't have enough energy. Too bad you're not a monkey like your creator, or else you'd have more than enough power!" The screen on the console behind Peppermint lit up and read, "Charging 1%.
The moth's digital eyebrows then took on a sinister appearance, causing the moth to cackle maniacally, "You're right, dad! If I want to party, I need a body that doesn't need recharging! Beginning mind transfer sequence..."
The moth's eyes glowed as Jam found himself unable to move, "Wait, wha-"
His lips closed shut as he found himself staring uncontrollably into Peppermint's neon-lit eyes. Blue-colored data began to emerge from the moth's eyes, right before beaming itself into Jam's own eyes. Peppermint began to transfer her mind into Jam's body and vice-versa, resulting in them both passing out. Jam awoke later and found that he had passed out standing up!
He couldn't move at all and found that his body was completely stationary with his shoulders slumped over. On top of that, his body felt strange. He was heavy in the bottom now and his whole body felt synthetic. His skin had been replaced with metal and memory foam, while his body-hair had become artificial. His whole body was colored green and pink, while his hands and feet lacked fingers and toes. He also had two additional arms, a feature befitting a robotic insect. The only feature he kept from his old body was his brown eyes.
Jam quickly realized that he (or rather "she") was now stuck in Peppermint's body! The robot beeped angrily, "Dammit, Peppermint!" Jam looked down and saw the former moth wearing her monkey body, now with green eyes instead of brown. Peppermint grinned mischievously using his new mouth as he flicked his prehensile tail around.
"Hey, pops, you look pretty tired!"
Jam struggled to move, but her body wouldn't listen to her commands. She remained slumped over in her useless metallic chassis. Peppermint reached up and flicked the metal face of his former body while chattering like the monkey he now was, "Looks like you're a useless hunk of metal now, pops!"
"This isn't fair, Peppermint!"
"Nothing's fair when it comes to parties and moth-bots!"
Peppermint smiled and ran towards the door as Jam beeped angrily, "Get back here with my body this instant, Peppermint!"
"Sorry, 'Dad', but I've got some partying to do and I can't do it in a body with no charge!"
Jam struggled to chase after Peppermint, but all she could do was budge her metal head slightly. As soon as Peppermint left, Jam could feel her remaining energy draining. She heard a voice chime from within her, "Entering sleep mode!"
Jam's brown digital eyes began to fade as she slowly powered down, "Daaaaaang iiiiiiit!"
She tried to stay awake, but her body was programmed to enter sleep mode a couple minutes after being plugged in. Her attempts to fight it proved fruitless, as her eyes went black and her head slumped over. Jam's mind slumbered within her metallic shell, while she had sweet dreams of data streams.
Once outside the room, Peppermint made his way towards the door. Peppermint's new body felt so strange and liberating, especially due to it being a non-artificial one! He was so hairy and tiny now, along with being more dexterous. He couldn't decide yet if it was a step up or step down from his regular body.
The lesser appeared to be the case once Peppermint reached the door. She looked down at his new hands, wiggling about his fingers as he did so. Peppermint's regular body was built with moth-like "hands", lacking any fingers whatsoever. They were good for repairing electronics and not much else. However, his new fingers opened up a world of perfect potential possibilities!
He smiled and grasped the door with his new fingers, turning the knob and venturing outside. He was quickly overwhelmed by the fresh breeze, the shining sun, and the relaxing heat. As Peppermint stepped outside, he noticed it was quite drafty. He assumed that was just because he wasn't wearing pants, until he turned around and looked down. The monkey quickly noticed that his butt was completely hairless, like a pair of tan-colored coconuts!
Peppermint blushed profusely and took off his lab-coat, wrapping it around his waist and covering himself up. "Eep! Dad really oughta invest in some pants," With his hairless bottom now covered, he walked over to the edge of the tree. He looked down the large wooden object, gulping as he did so.
Peppermint never had to climb before and the tree was quite high up, so he was naturally quite nervous. He took a deep breath in and then out, right before moving over to the edge and gripping the tree with his hands and hand-feet. He scaled down the tree as slowly as he could, but was interrupted by a strange sudden itch. The itch was all over and all encompassing, which was rather common for simians.
The itch was so bad that he let go of the tree mid-climb in order to scratch himself. He plummeted towards the ground, hitting it with a cartoonish thud and causing his head to fall off! Peppermint's still living head rolled onto the grass, leaving his body with a headless neck-stump. Thankfully, his monkey body had a mind of its own and stumbled back onto two feet.
The disembodied head growled, "Over here!"
His body started to bumble around, desperately looking for its head. He knew this would take a while, so he took the time to appreciate the sun. Despite being just a head for the moment, he still enjoyed being a physical being. As his head basked in the warm summer air, a butterfly fluttered up to him and landed on his pink nose.
Peppermint blushed as he was mesmerized by the bright colors on the butterfly's wings, "It's wonderful!" The butterfly quickly flew away as a pair of hands grabbed Peppermint and hoisted him upwards. At first, he thought it was his body finally picking him up, only to discover it was someone completely different!
It was a 3-foot-tall meerkat with blonde hair and tan colored fur. She wore a green colored shirt with gold buttons, an outfit that Peppermint found quite fancy! He recognized the meerkat from his memory logs, it was Meerina!
The meerkat stuttered and smiled as she held the disembodied monkey head in her hands, "H-Hey, Jam! Lose your head again?"
"It would appear so!"
"Let me help you out then!"
Meerina plopped Peppermint's head back onto his body and smiled, "Now that you're complete again, we can go on our date!"
Peppermint stammered nervously, "Date?!"
"Yeah, our date! P-P-Please don't tell me you forgot!"
He couldn't date his father's girlfriend, that'd be so weird! At the same time, he couldn't risk Meerina finding out the turth. She'd make him give his body back early, when he needs it to go partying! He thought about it for a while and came to a conclusion, "Of course I didn't forget! Lets go, Meerina,"
Meerina smiled and held out her hand, prompting Peppermint to stare at it awkwardly.
"Do you want me to give you something?"
Meerina shook her head, "Nah, I want us to hold hands, silly!"
Peppermint gulped and grabbed Meerina's hand as the two walked off into the darkened streets. Peppermint blushed heavily while walking hand-in-hand with Meerina, he still couldn't believe this was happening! Meerina turned to the blushing monkey, "You're not really Jam, are you?"
"Of course I am!"
"You say that, but Jam doesn't have green eyes,"
"Oh, right! Sorry,"
"It's okay! Honestly, Jam gets his body stolen so often that I'm used to it. That, or he's always stealing some hot babe's body!"
"Aren't you annoyed by that? I mean, he's always ogling and body-snatching hot babes! Doesn't that bother you?"
Meerina smiled, "Of course not! Sure, it's awkward and weird, but he doesn't do it as often anymore. I know he only has eyes for me regardless, he just swaps with other women because it's fun,"
"But he's a lewd weirdo!"
"Knowing Jam, I wouldn't have him any other way. He helped me break out of my shell and if you knew anything about the man who's body you're inhabiting, you'd know that he is great in spite of his lewdness,"
"Man, I feel really bad about stealing Dad's body now,"
"Wait, 'Dad'?!"
"Well, he's sort of my dad. I'm his robot creation, not his true child,"
"Wait, you're Peppermint, right?"
Peppermint shrugged, "Yeah, why?"
Meerina bent in and gave the former moth a giant hug, "Because Jam thinks the world of you! It's rare for him to think of any of his robot creations as children, but you're the one exception,"
"Really? He never really seems to show it,"
"O-Of course he doesn't, he's Jam. He doesn't show a lot of sides of himself, but he does care,"
"I guess you're right..."
"Now, how about giving his body back?"
"But I wanted to party!"
"True, but Jam and I were also supposed to go on date. I don't think it's fair to him if he stays cooped up in the lab all night in your body,"
Peppermint grumbled and crossed her arms, "Alright, fine!"
"Don't worry, there'll be plenty more opportunities to go steal bodies or go to parties!"
"You're right, I'll go give him his body back right away!"
"Thanks, Peppermint. Jam is definitely proud to have a daughter like you,"
Peppermint winked, "Maybe I can be your daughter too, if Jam is ever able to propose to you without you passing out,"
"Proposal?!"
Meerina fainted on the spot, prompting Peppermint to look down at her and glare, "Great, now I'm going to have to carry her home!" After bringing Meerina home, Peppermint returned to Jam's tree-mounted lab. He scampered up the tree and entered inside, before venturing towards the charging room.
Once inside, he spotted Jam in his body. Jam's eyes powered back on as her former body approached him. She narrowed her virtual eyes at him, "Looks like the little thief is back!"
Peppermint sighed, "Dad, I'm sorry!"
"It's... It's okay. I steal bodies all the time too,"
"You're not mad?"
"Oh, I am quite mad, but I'm also proud at the same time,"
"Why?"
"Because you stole your first body! I feel bad now for telling you I'm not your dad, because that was never true. You are my daughter and this body-thievery proves it!"
"Thanks, dad!"
Jam's robotic body began to beep happily, "However, I will need it back! Beginning mind transfer sequence..."
"Wait, not ye---"
Before Peppermint could finish, the data transfer had begun. Jam's mind returned to his own body and Peppermint's returned to hers.
Peppermint let out a long metallic sigh, "Darn it! I wanted to have an organic body for a bit longer,"
"Sorry, Peppermint, but no can do! Can't let you wear your dad's body for too long. To be honest, I feel it was a bad idea to give you the ability to transfer your data to an organic body. Still, it was fun!"
"Are you going to remove it?"
"Nope, I'll let you keep that function, just as long as you never steal my body again!"
"I can steal everyone else's though?"
"Sure, go ahead!"
"Sweet!"
Jam turned to leave, only for Peppermint to start digitally sobbing.
Jam looked back, "What's wrong?"
"I didn't get to party!"
"Maybe if you managed your power better, you could! Or else, get different hobbies,"
Jam snickered and left, giving Peppermint something to think on.
"Different hobbies, eh? Time to search my data log for hobbies I can use as an excuse to party it up!"
Peppermint flicked through many options, until she landed on one she liked, "Exorcist, eh? I could work with that!" Peppermint let out a digital cackle as she slowly powered off for the night.
To be continued in "The Ghost and The Machine"!
