“Spacing Out” is an entry going towards the Devious Desktop Space Out Challenge. Out of the two previous challenges I believe this one was favorite to do so far.
When I first read about it I was quite determined on what I wanted to do exactly for the piece. In my head when I hear space out it makes me think that someone is in deep thought to the point that nothing can interfere with them, because they are simply space out. More so I thought I would like to incorporate the theme even more by making this boy in deep thought as he look out of his window and visualize that he looking into space itself. When I took my idea to paper to see if my idea would present itself nicely I realized that I wanted to take it a step further. Instead while he looked into the abyss we know as space he would imagine that there would also be this chimpanzee. The chimp would be reaching his hand out as if he was telling the boy that he would to take him out on a space expedition. Plus I added in a rocket ship so that they could go on there space expedition safety. Plus if he wanted to be in space then I would assume that he wanted to be astronaut. Regardless it was a ton of fun creating this piece and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did creating it.
