Ren laid back against the cargo of the shrunken cart they held in their hand. Whatever it was would probably be helpful for the village, but it could wait until after they had dealt with its previous owners.The one in Ren's other hand screamed, a sound very similar to what a field mouse might sound like at the hands of a cat, they noted. It was an apt comparison. They lowered the morsel into their mouth, ignoring their protest. The tiny person was wrapped in their tongue, covered with saliva as they struggled to free themself. Ren swallowed their prey whole, sending them down for their stomach to do its work.
Ren noticed the other owner of the cart running near their feet. They stood up, their shadow blotting out the sun for their next unfortunate victim. They stomped their foot down right in front of them, blocking them and throwing them backwards from the force. Ren reached down and snatched the tiny human in their fingers. They weren't particularly hungry, so they decided to save this one for later...
