Awesomely done! I'm sure you'll get plenty of comments on this after your Daily Deviation, but I might as well throw in my two cents. The level of detail is probably the best thing about the picture, you've clearly put a massive amount of work into this. I also love the way the picture seems to tell a story - I can't help but wonder about the robot-looking thing in the foreground. Is it a person? A machine? Does it have a story? On a much shallower note, the missile trails and explosion effects are great, and the slight blur conveys a real sense of movement and action. I find myself worrying about some of the lower ships, hoping they'll pull up or away in time to avoid colliding with that beast.
My two complaints are that the terrain seems a bit too generic, and the ships look too much like perfect copies of each other. A few small differences would go a long way here. Everything else is fantastic - well done.

Holy...crap...that is amazing. On one hand it reminds me of The Terminator...it looks like a war between machine and some other creation...
On the other hand it reminds me of something out of Final Fantasy...a bit like Sin from FFX
But on the other hand (yes there are three hands, so sue me) it reminds me of the Teenage Mutant Ninja/Hero Turtles...why? Because that huge monster looks like a heavily mutated Krang...

I know it's been said before, but that is amazing detail. The color and blur around some of the objects gives it a very nice, somewhat CGI feel. Fantastic work!
