You know if it was not for both the Pride and the Invaders Richard and Yuri would never met.

First Richard Hayes found out about the Pride when he snuck down into the Wilder's library and saw the Pride do one of their sacrifices by getting a young girl's sole for the Kaijus they served called the Gibborims. To bad for Richard the Pride found him at first they thought they should have killed him! While Gene and Alice wanted to spear their son and thought that they could sort him out.

As for Yuri when the younger Japanese girl lost her family when the Invaders came to attack Tokyo. An evil Dragon know as King Ghidorah found Yuri and her new born sister Yoona and threats to murder them. Lucky for Yuri that Godzilla showed up and saved her.
