Description
- Zoolander cameo. Before you ask, no he was NOT in the sequel. This was probably the last one of the last Trump cameos, at least one of the last few onscreen ones but it's basically one of the most well-known.- Home Alone 2 (1992) cameo appearance. I think everyone is already aware of his appearance in this movie and his line 'Down the hall and to the left'. But what most people don't know is the story about how this scene came about, you see the crew was allowed to film at the Plaza hotel on the grounds that Trump appear in the movie since he was the hotel's owner. By the way this is a true-story and not made up. And although to some it's the first cameo they've seen of him, it technically isn't.
- His appearance as 'Waldo's Dad' in The Little Rascals (1994). Based on the Our Gang shorts, The Little Rascals was a family comedy movie featuring the titular characters getting into a variety of shenanigans including a soap box derby race and a talent show. The spoiled rich kid Waldo in that particular scene is on the phone talking to his dad...who yep, is....Trump. He says that he is going to win the race and make him proud, to which his father responds with 'You're the best son that money can buy'. Whether that's supposed to be an insult or a compliment I do not know. But that's another famous cameo by the tangerine fiend on this list.
- The restaurant scene ('Elizabeth' episode of 'The Job'). If there's one thing that makes me feel awkward...it's seeing Trump trying to be romantic. In one episode of the tv show called 'The Job' he shows up at a dinner party where actress Elizabeth Hurley and comedian Dennis Leary are having a meal at, and he asks Dennis if he is going out with Elizabeth. To which Dennis tells him that he isn't, and well...Trumpty kisses Elizabeth Hurley. This moment is both awkward and off-putting, especially for me. Seeing one of my crushes being hit on by Trump just really makes me feel awkward and a little bit creeped out as well. Yeeeah, Trumpty better keep his distance when it comes to being around my crushes.
- McDonalds 'Big N'Tasty' commercials. These commercials were for the product known as the 'Big N'Tasty' which was just one of many things you could get using the dollar menu at McD's. The commercials of course featured Grimace, the lovable purple creature that represents the milkshakes with Trump and Trump is talking to Grimace about the dollar menu and how it is a very impressive deal. The music in these commercials sounds kind of like well...Ocean's Elevenesque, which may be a bit of a coincidence since the remake with George Clooney came out in 2001 - a year before these commercials were aired. Trump asks Grimace how he does it - to which...he says nothing and just blinks, which Trump mimics. The second version of this commercial has Trump admiring Grimace at the end and telling him that purple is a very powerful color (which it indeed is) and the third one has Trump talking about a pen and at the end Grimace asks him if he can borrow his pen. Of course the first one ends with 'Together Grimace, we can own this town'. The third one actually does have the aforementioned character talking as well (by the way, I thought at first that it was Bill Faberbakke voicing Grimace but it's actually not him, the voice kind of sounds like Goober the gopher from Rugrats though). So yeah...purple and orange...you've heard of Purple and Brown, now meet Purple and Orange.
- His 'Fresh Prince Of Bel Air' cameo. In the episode "For Sale by Owner" the Banks family is visited by Trumpnstuff and his then lover/wife Ivana, he is heavily interested in buying the mansion the family lives in. It is also worth-noting that the daughter Ashley shouts at him, yelling 'Thank you for ruining my life!'. Which is probably what a LOT of people are now thinking as well.
- 'All you handsome zillionaires know each other.' (from the 'Rosie Show' episode of 'The Nanny'). There's a hilarious story about how he threw a hissyfit backstage and insisted on having the line changed. And it's a true story by the way in case you're wondering. Also...yeeeeah, i'm not used to seeing people call Trump the terror tabby attractive, it just seems odd to me. Okay so he must have been a bit of a looker at some point but still...I don't see it. I see videos of Trump from back in the 80's and 90's and he looks like a mix of Bill Pullman, Owen Wilson, Harrison Ford and Christopher Walken (sometimes I even imagine Trump talking in Walken's voice just for laughs, I blame Batman Returns for that one, Walken should read Trump's quotes or 'Tweets' though, that would be hilarious. If Walken isn't available, you could always get Jeff Bennett to read them in the voice of Twinkle the Marvel Horse). So yeah, Trump being called 'handsome'...i'll never get used to that.
- The performance of the 'Green Acres' theme song at the 2005 Emmys. Ever wanted to see Trumpty dressed up like a farmer? Ever wanted to hear him sing? No? Too bad, because that's something that happened and it's pretty hillarious and goofy at the same time, seeing the man who is used to walking around in business suits and living the lifestyle that most people would die just to have singing about the country life and being a farmer. There aren't enough words to describe how comical it is. I have one question though..if he's ol McDonald...where are all the farm animals?
- Trump doesn't know that there's no ice cream in that truck (From the 'New York Kings and Queens' episode of The Drew Carey Show). In this particular episode of the classic tv series known as The Drew Carey Show, Drew and his friends are in a traffic jam and they have to use an ice cream truck to get by, and on the street they run into ol Goldfish Face himself who wants to have an ice cream. Yeeeah...apparently the weather is boiling. Why on earth he doesn't know that there's beer in the truck instead of ice cream i'll never know but he is nice enough to give them tickets to the game - and front row seats at that. Oh well, i'll forgive him for that mistake...just this once.
- The shapeshifter (from the 'Face To Face' episode of 'Nightman'.) For those who don't know, Nightman was a short-lived series that aired on WGN-TV and produced by the creator of Manimal (there was a crossover episode featuring the character Jonathan Chase who was the main character in that aforementioned series as well) with a character named Johnny Domino who had the power to 'detect' evil with his super-hearing. In the episode 'Face To Face' we meet a shapeshifting villain who can turn into anyone (who also kind of reminds me of Willem Dafoe for some reason, he looks kind of like Dafoe as well) and he is on a heist...how does he go about this mission? By transforming himself into Trump and fooling everybody. Yeeeah...so a supervillain who can turn into people, just turned into the big orange mutant. Now I seriously wish that I had my character's morphing powers because then I could be like this guy....well I wouldn't want to become Trump though - because well my character doesn't like being him, and to him becoming Trump is akin to an allergic reaction - it just happens sometimes, and it's extremely embarrassing. My character has also said that it's very difficult to try and move around due to how 'big and clumsy' he thinks Trumpnstuff's body is. Yes I have dabelled in Trump jokes, I did it all-through last year with stories of my character turning into him, don't worry it's pre-election Trump so no insanity or turning evil and even have numerous monster characters based on him as well as IMVU pics that make fun of him or have him in different creature forms. Let's just say that Trump has made my OL persona even more monstrous than usual, in addition to that...yeah, I guess I shouldn't be embarrassed regarding the amount of Trump dreams i've had...after all, apparently all through last year lots of people were having them. But have they ever dreamed of him as a 50ft giant wrestling a mecha-koala? I don't think so. Regardless, this Trump moment is one that you'll definitely want to check out for yourself. Also he is uncredited in the episode 'Whole Lotta Shaking' so give that episode a look too.
- The business meeting scene in 'Ghosts Can't Do It' (1989). Behold, the very first movie cameo appearance of the orange one. This is one of those movies where a director casts their romantic partner in a leading role, it's one of those 'look at how attractive my partner is' movies but with a twist. It's basically a romantic comedy of sorts in which Anthony Quinn and Bo Derek play a couple that love each-other despite age differences and well when Anthony Quinn's character finds he's too old to get it on, he pretty much kills himself....okay, this movie just got depressing. And he comes back as a ghost that only Bo's character can see. Which is never-explained except for the fact there are some rather confusing ghost rules. Like for example you have to kill someone first in order to possess their body, which I have NEVER seen in any other ghost movies since I don't think that applies, I don't think possession works that way. And when you think this movie can't get any more bizarre.. guess who shows up? Yep. The big orange goon, Trumpnstuff, Trumpty Dumpty, Big Orange Idiot, the Dimwit in Chief, the Wall-o-holic, Sir Complains A Lot, Ol Goldfish Face, the Terror Tabby, Donald Trump. And yes it actually IS Trump, the credits even say so. Bo Derek's character is making a business deal with him and the dialogue shared between them is cheesy as all hell but in a so bad it's funny way, and it goes kind of like this - she tells him and his associates to 'put away their knives' because they haven't got ones that are 'sharp enough to carve a spot' to which Trump responds with this remark. "Be assured, Mrs. Scott, that in this room, there are knives sharp enough to cut you to the bone and hearts cold enough to eat yours for hors d’oeuvres." And then she tells him he is too pretty to be bad. Trump? Pretty? Ha! That's a good one. *laughs* Yeah, sure he's pretty, if you like people who resemble a goldfish. To which Trump responds with "you noticed" and gives her this look which is....I think sort of flirty but looks more like he's trying to do a puppy dog pout or the 'Bette Davis Eyes' look. And i'm not kidding this is exactly what that scene is like, if you don't believe me just watch the Cinema Snob's review. Or better yet, check out the actual scene itself - and that's not the only Trump scene, there's another one too. (Just look up 'Ghosts Can't Do It' on Youtube).
- ''Stuffed Crust' Pizza Hut Commercial. This commercial features him and his ex-lover/wife Ivana getting back together, no they're NOT getting back together as a couple...no, they're doing it to order a stuffed crust pizza. And this commercial is also kind of awkward because of well...Trump isn't the first person that comes to mind when it comes to romance. In fact he's the third-last person when matters of the heart are brought up. There is kind of a dark moment when he says that she is only entitled to half. Apparently you can own a piece of the storyboards for this ad as well.
- Trump: The Game. Pretty much every movie, tv show, comic, you name it had their own board-game - heck even characters like Urkle had them but the most infamous one is the one known as 'Trump: The Game'. First released in 1989, this game was basically Monopoly-like except it was Trump related and the rules were much different and there was no jail-space or 'get out of jail free' card. The motto of the game is 'it's not whether you win or lose but whether you win'. Uhhh...I think that Sylvester Stallone and his 3-clones from Spy Kids 3: Game Over' would disagree with that statement. In 2004, the game was updated to commemorate the TV show 'The Apprentice' (not to be confused with the British one that came after it).
- Trump Steaks commercial. Ever wanted to eat road-kill? Or something that looked like it was squished by a steamroller? You haven't? Don't worry, nobody has ever wanted to do that either. Neither have I to be honest..I mean just by asking..'Who wants to eat Trump's meat?' I feel cold, clammy and very ill. Also eating Trump's meat? Eeeeew...that sounds dirty and not in the good way, more in the 'healthcare violation' way. It has come to my understanding that Trumpty has some rather peculiar eating habits it seems, not only is he a huge fast food food freak but also he likes his meat well done and with ketchup. Now I have nothing against ketchup, I think it's great...it's just wow, well done..really? That's inhuman. Unless you like eating grilled shoe...who the heck would want it well done? Everyone knows steaks and meat in general are best served rare...and that includes werecreatures. Just ask Marsha Quist from The Howling. You may remember Sharper Image selling the abomination known as 'Trump Steak'. Also check out the HILARIOUS reviews people have made of them.
- 'New Yorker' Pizza Hut Commercials. Apparently Alexander the Great, Napoleon and Trump are cut from the same cloth as this commercial suggests and it is a very LARGE one. You might even say that it is a very YUUUGE cloth at that. And when it comes to pizza, his philosophy is 'Go Big or Go Home!'. There he goes again with his obsession with impossibly large things! You hear that...if it's not yuuuge Trumpty doesn't like it! Anything less than perfect will not do. I just hope that he doesn't get the idea to try and make himself giant sized. Because then we'd be dealing with a 50ft idiot.
- His 'Two Weeks Notice' Cameo.
- The myriad of moments on 'The Apprentice' (2004). and 'Celebrity Apprentice' Since there are a LOT of moments on this show that would easily make the cut like the infamous catfight involving Joan Rivers, the powerhouse known as Omarosa, Lou Ferrigno threatening someone, Meatloaf having an outburst and calling out Gary Busey, it's hard to pick just one but there is one definite moment that just makes me laugh for some reason, it's in the episode where the contestants have a task in which they have to set up camp outside and one of the teams is lead by this loud guy named Frank who yammers at all the other team-mates and then we hear Trump call out from the window of his office for Frank to keep his voice down. The fact that Trump who is essentially a loud-mouth is telling someone else to be quiet is both kind of hypocritical and hilarious at the same time. Also according to TVTropes, Trump has quite a few Berserk Buttons. For one thing he doesn't like liars, excuses or bad decisions, he also tends to feel the same way about bringing people into the board-room for non-business purposes as well as having an extreme dislike for disloyalty, losing money and the term 'white trash' . Yikes, wouldn't want to get Trump mad in that case. If his recent behavior is anything to go by, he sounds like the kind of guy who could have who pay the price just for doing something he dislikes.
- His appearances in 'Eddie' and 'The Associate'. In the former he says that hiring Eddie was his idea from the beginning.
- Serta Mattress Commercials. In these commercials we see him talking to an animated sheep, apparently in these commercials he hires these sheep to work at the hotels, the sheep he is talking to moans 'I'll never count sheep again'. I bet if Dawn Bellwether saw this, she would be ashamed that some of her relatives are working for the man she is unfairly compared to.
- Trump's WWE showdown with Vince McMahon. It is a well established fact that Trump and Vince McMahon are best friends in real life and in a WWE storyline they were rivals. One such storyline had Trump's wrestler of choice going up against Vince's and whoever won had to have their hair shaved off. Guess who won? Trump did. And that is also what started ruining the company in general, especially after to Vince afterwards. Yep, Trump started sponsoring WWE and he bought it out. Nice going you big orange goon. Now I have no problems with gimmicky storylines or celebrities as guest-hosts or guest-wrestlers, heck i'm one of the few people that liked the WCW match that had Jay Leno and Diamond Dallas Page VS Eric Bischoff and Hollywood Hogan, but this was one of the most ridiculous moments ever. Did I mention that poor Vince had a breakdown because of this?
- His SNL hosting appearances in 2004 and 2015. In the former there is a Prince And The Pauper skit with Darrell Hammond impersonating Trump and Trump himself as...the janitor and also a skit where he's basically playing the worst dad in the history of fatherhood. I'd HATE to have him as my dad, but I hear his kids speak highly of him in real life. It is worth-noting that Darrell Hammond was the resident Trump impersonator during the early 2000s seasons of the show before he got promoted to the role of narrator and thus the role of Trump impersonator got passed briefly to Taran Killam...and of course now the role of Trump impersonator extraordinaire belongs to Alec Baldwin who pretty much nails it. That just goes to show that last year isn't the only time that ol tangerine skin has been impersonated - heck the first ever SNL Trump impersonation goes way back to the 90's with Phil Hartman.
You can check out the aforementioned commercials and cameos on Youtube, but if you're looking for the SNL episodes - you can find them on Putlocker and other sources. Also as mentioned I'll be doing this in list form for the Trump Moments list, and you can check out my SNL Trumps meme and list in my gallery.
