Where I live in the fall the forests are alive with golden Tamarack trees. The needles are green the rest of the year, turn gold in the fall, and fall off until spring when they grow back green. When a hillside is logged off they plant tamaracks to replace the pine trees because the tamaracks grow quickly and look beautiful in the fall. I love them!
