Super Mario Kart vs. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 ain't got nothing on this.Commission by Priya Kishna. She requested a four way showdown between Nintendo tag team Mario and Link, and Squeenix's Axel and Sora as cover art for her doujin.
Thus, this was borne.
Her upcoming Doomsday doujin featuring those four is due soon, so check it out yea? 8D
It's been a really...really...REALLY long time since I've posted anything. Glad to see I've broken monotony.
Dang those four; forget blood-puke inducing, my brain cells have officially mutinied and set up camp in the cramp quarters of lala-land.
Finally it's come to an end! Among work and other stuff, I didn't have much time to work on this commission, sans weekends.
Now I should try to crank up the pace for my own doujin.

The use of lighting, color, and movement is excellent here. I like how Mario and Axel frame Link and Roxas. I would have preferred a bit more contrast in the fire to heighten the overall intensity of the scene, but it still looks great. Loving the panicked Navi. >: D
Seeing the thumbnail at a glance, I thought this was just Axel vs Roxas... but once I took a closer look i was all "BAM! THAT'S AWESOME!"
It should be noted that Kingdom Hearts characters would fit in quite well in Smash Bros...

I think Sora's got a bit of an upper hand with the flaming keyblade and all.
Love the coloring on the flames and the coloring on the characters. Never got that down myself...

He could also be Twilight Princess Link. Then again, there's a whole plethora of Links running rampant alongside Mario bros in the Nintendo world, so we'll never know. *shifty eyes*

In the Gamecube version, yes, he was left-handed.
In the Wii version, he was right-handed. In fact, the whole game was mirrored off the Gamecube version.
I'm not afraid to admit that the only LoZ game I've ever played was TP, so my first impression of Link was that he is right-handed. It wasn't until much later I learnt he was mostly left-handed, but there were several games depicting him as right-handed.
So I chalked it up to him being an ambidextrous person.

Well it's beyond epic in terms of rendering, perspective and line of movement. I for one am speechless at how much detail went into this.
Axel vs. Mario and Sora vs. Link. Coudla been Roxas vs. Link as it was 358/2 days. But it is truly a wonderful piece indeed. ^__^

Link possesses superior skill and experience. Probably physically stronger as well, going up against the monsters he faces and Ganondorf qualifies for fending off the Keyblade's.

It easily gives him the ability to win, I doubt most of the organization could hold their own against Ganondorf. Link will work his way around the Keyblade and counter attack with his Superior sword skills.
