Celeste is a supporting protagonist from "Eye for an Eye," a far-future false utopian setting. She is a convict that was conscripted into the Unified Nations Government's Colonial Expeditionary Force for "uncorrectable" and "non-rehabitable" crimes, and assigned to CEFB Patton on Barnard's Star-a. Like any convict (or the derogatory term "connies") assigned to the CEF, she is exiled from Earth for life, and tasked with defending the Barnard's Star settlements from encroaching "exos," four distinct species of exosolar sentient lifeforms that view humanity's expansion into contested space as an abomination.
