What is touch to you is it physical, mental or emotional?  Mr. Webster defines touch in many ways,

to bring a bodily part into contact with especially so as to perceive through the tactile sense : handle or feel gently usually with the intent to understand or appreciate 2: to strike or push lightly especially with the hand or foot or an implement3: to lay hands upon  with intent to: to take into the hands or mouth :  to deal with : become involved with: to induce to give or lend : to cause to be briefly in contact or conjunction with something  : ADJOIN: to get to : : to speak or tell of especially in passing: to relate to : CONCERN to have an influence on : AFFECT12 a: to leave a mark or impression on  TINGE b: to harm slightly by or as if by contact : TAINT, BLEMISH: to give a delicate tint, line, or expression: to draw or delineate with light strokes to hurt the feelings of : WOUND to move to sympathetic feeling: to feel something with a body part :  to come close : VERGE: to have a bearing : RELATE

but what defines or REFINES a touch for you, is it the sweetness of a kiss pressed into your sleep warmed flesh in the wee hours of the morning, the electric tingle of the tiniest of caresses shared in passing midday, or the sudden  sting of a palm as it is laid across already sensitive skin or when a heated gaze and a raised brow causes your breathe to catch and your heartbeat to rise? When words become tangible and the sound of a voice in your ear brings a melting to the very center of your existence, or it is even more, can a touch be a good morning and an emoticon left in offlines to make you smile or deeper still~
   Is touch transcendent, an emotion or inspiration something we awaken incites in another sometimes without their knowledge or consent or even with, is it a connection made across the miles of space and time. A simple reminder that when you reach for a touch, another presence  reaches back for you.
Is it the ability to close your eyes years later and still taste the essence of a moment in your soul or does touch  linger, when you reach for the memory of the moments of the past to carry you through the here and now when the here and  now is not so pleasant.
