first time cast a deadly spell
The young mage stood in the center of the circle, her hands holding a staff above her head. She had never cast a killing spell before, but she knew that it was the only way to stop the evil human who was about to destroy the village.

As her mother had taught her, casting a spell was just like swinging a sword. It could kill people, it could hurt people. This was the first lesson she had learned as a mage.

Now it was the first time she would use her magic to hurt someone. She knew that when the spell was released, someone would die. And in her heart, she hated magic for that.

But she knew that she had to do this. No matter the cost.

She took a deep breath and began to chant the spell. Her eyes closed, and her lips began to move in a silent chant. As she spoke, the air around her began to shimmer with blue light.

As she reached the climax of the chant, she sliently shouted the final word.

A blue fire flame shooting from her hands and struck the evil man. He cried out in pain as the flames engulfed him, and he fell to the ground, writhing in agony. As the flames died down, the evil man lay still, but his body blackened and charred.

The sorceress had defeated her enemy, but she felt no joy. She knew that she would never forget what she had done. She had killed someone, and she would never be able to take that back.
