I realized today that yesterday last year was the last time I saw my best friend.. last year that day we had celebrated his birthday and coincidentally this year we celebrated my birthday on the same day. Looking back at pictures from that day, I realized how much has changed since then. He lives out of state now with no way to communicate with anyone, and even though it’s only a temporary thing, it feels like he’s been gone forever. There were so many things I wish I’d gotten to tell him before he left, so many things I wish I could tell him now. I’ll feel forever guilty for not being there for him those last months before he left and not being able to say goodbye to him. I can’t wait to see you again one day. I just hope it’s soon.
