I can finally show my latest art done for IMAGINEFX magazine issue 83 special SCIFI art!"paint sci-fi art on anEPIC SCALE"
it goes with a full tutorial as well
People ask me a lot about "how do I do it?"
so here is an answer for you!
there's a ton of work in this one , so be sure to get it!
you might learn a thing or two with the video that I recorded of my process in the included DVD...not to mention some custom brushes...
(if you get the digital copy ,I'm not sure you'll get those extras )

a little background story for all scifi story lovers out there:
"this ship is leaving for a dangerous journey deeper into a strange nebula , where some alien activity were detected 10 years ago...this ship was specially build for that mission...

Oh mon dieu tu t'es craquΓ© lΓ ! C'est superbe! Je dirais juste que l'avant de "Behemoth" est peut-Γͺtre pas suffisamment mis en valeur par rapport au fond, ils se confondent presque (bon j'exagΓ¨re mais tu comprends). En tout cas, c'est vraiment impressionnant, fΓ©licitations!

pour l'avant j'ai voulu montrer qu'il etait dans une poche de gaz cosmique donc beaucoup de profondeur atmospherique
mais voila ce n'est pas une image parfaite!

Amazing - I like the ambiguity created by the foreground and background spacecraft, are they seperate entities or part of a larger whole surrounding the mid-ground spacecraft. This really does pay homeage to the Chris Foss style Sci-Fi book covers but with a style your own.

I'm old enough to remember when a Sci-Fi novel just wasn't right if Chriss Foss hadn't done the honours. Bruce Pennington's stuff was from the same era, different style but still inspiring. Was so pleased to get the new Foss for Christmas.
