Someone really special to me has a tattoo on his arm that says 'great artists steal'. What it means is taking inspiration from life and the things that you see. I've been art blocked for ages, but recently I've stumbled across some great local art gatherings. Maybe you could audit a local life drawing course, or look online and see if there's a local Dr. Sketchy branch? Once the block hits, it means it's time to change it up...don't worry, it's gonna come back to you. Think of something you would never paint or draw, something out of your element, maybe a medium that you don't normally use, and do that. If it still doesn't hit, don't focus on your art. Watch films, listen to a good album, go for a walk, surround yourself with friends and people that you love.
