try a raspberry plant..
you'll need to get a stick of it, if that makes sense, and dig a foot deep hole, and put in, and water it..
I did, and my raspberries are still alive three years later..
i also have tiger lilly's and germaniums, which are alive despite the fact that they were planted fifty years ago by my grandmother

yeah, some perenials are hard to kill, lol
i never water the flowers, and they're fine
but i do water the rasberry bush if it hasn't rained in more than two or so days with large cup of water

the bulbs for Geraniums are expensive because they're so big and they are suprisingly tough, lol
