You had dreamed once to be more than just a hairstylist. Sadly, none of your ambitious ideas had developed into anything concrete. It wasn't like it was all bad though, you sometimes got to style the hair of famous people. That was always a bit of fun, if not stressful for you to get it right. You wanted to do it more often but you were still relatively new to this career path. You understood when models and actors wanted someone more experienced than yourself.
You got woken up by one of those aforementioned more experienced stylists. He told you that he had suddenly come down with something nasty and needed someone to replace him for today. You were flattered until he told you that it was too short notice for any other stylist to make it. Still happy for a little extra work, you gladly accepted. Then you heard who's hair you had to style. It was Selena Gomez.
This could be a problem. You had been a huge fan of Selena’s for years now. You wouldn't admit it but you may have had a celebrity crush on which had failed to go away as of yet. There was no way you could style her hair! You'd be too nervous to even stand up straight! But it was too late, you had already agreed to fill in for the sick stylist. You were strong, you were confident, you could do this!
Hours later, Selena Gomez walked into the room where you, inexperienced you, would style her hair. How was it possible that she was even more attractive in person? instead of creepily gawking at her you decide speaking would be more socially acceptable. “Hi, I'm-”
“The replacement stylist, I know.” Selena bluntly interrupted as she sat down in the chair where you'd be working on her hair. You tried not to visibly show how sad her response had made you and just get to work on her hair. Selena’s usual stylist thankfully told you what Selena was wanting to get. Now you just had to deliver.
To your surprise Selena spoke up again. “Sorry about interrupting you just then,” she said apologetically, “I've just been having a crap day, my ex keeps sending me-” her phone dinged, thereby interrupting her. “There he goes again, sending me these random images!” She said, exasperated.
Wanting to let her know that you accepted her apologize you replied, “it's alright Ms Gomez. I'll get to work here and then I can get out of your hair.” You jokingly said, hoping to inject the moment with some levity. When Selena remained silent and slowly tilted her head forward you were afraid your attempt at humor had backfired. You looked down to see her blankly staring at her phone as it flashed a thousand colors. You had to struggle just to look up from it. Was this what her Ex was sending her? “Selena, please tell me you can hear me?” You desperately asked.
The poor girl’s eyes never left the phone as she simply echoed back, “I can hear you.” She seemed to be in some kind of trance, you went to take her phone away and hopefully snap her out of it until you hesitated. Selena had been in a pretty bad mood with you so far, perhaps you could change that for her while she was in this state? What was the harm of altering Selena Gomez a bit? Especially if it was for the better...

Victoria does everything in her power not to scream in joy. “That sounds like a plan. Besides, you know I’m going to go through your bathroom again and trash some of your hair products.” She says with a teasingly joking tone.
Victoria doesn’t know what memories have or haven’t been corrupted in Selena’s mind, but her celeb crush, or obsession, with the Latina pop star helps her know more about Selena and her friends than the average fan. The two women make small talk about various subjects as Victoria finishes up Selena’s hair.
Victoria sighs, “So.... I uh.... took your advice from that AMA on IG.... and.... came out to my parents the other day....” Victoria nervously stutters. Although some of what the women talk about are corrupted or alter memories, this was real. However, since Selena wasn’t altered then, and didn’t recognize the username, she likely thought it was a random fan.

Selena had been feeling quite jovial, hanging out with her friend as she was, until Victoria mentioned coming out to her parents. There was so much new information that she went to speak before thinking about what she was saying. “I didn't realize that that was you! I thought I was just giving advice to some random fan of mine. Did your parents take it well?” Selena said before she realized that that might be more then her friend was comfortable telling her.
“Sorry,” she was quick to course correct, “you don’t have to answer that if you don't want to.” Selena has to take a moment to think. If Victoria felt so nervous about this topic that she approached her about it behind the ambiguity of the Internet then it would be wise to approach it gently.
“Hopefully you know I'm here if you want to talk about any of it. I'll help in any way I can.” Selena suddenly remembered that they weren't exactly in a private space. She briefly stole a glance of their onlookers who were getting their hair done themselves. There was a chance one of them was a reporter. She wouldn't let her friend become a scoop for some crappy news article.
“Perhaps we should talk about it on the ride over to my place when we're alone? That is if you want to talk about it at all of course!” She wanted to literally facepalm. Why did she have to be so bad at this? She usually was quite confident in her ability to speak without her foot ending up in her mouth. Sadly that wasn't the case in this conversation.

Victoria expected that Selena would have a ton of questions. She rubs the back of her neck and clears her throat. “Definitely talk about this more on the car ride to your place...” She takes a deep breath. “Excuse me.” Victoria walks over to the restroom.
During that time, she has no idea one of her co-workers that she walked by has checked on Selena. Of course, the co-worker says more than Victoria would want her too. That her parents kicked her out and that she has been sleeping in her car behind the salon for the past week.
About 10 minutes later, Victoria returns, her make-up clearly touched up. Her eyes are red from crying. “So.... let me get you that check and then we’ll talk in the car.” She forces a smile. She gives Selena a quick hug and heads for the register.
“And Selena, I know you’re trying to protect my privacy, but you should know I don’t care if something like that goes viral. It might bring in more business.” She says with another forced smile. Victoria can feel another tear sliding down her cheek as she checks Selena out at the register. “Ready to go?”

“I'm ready to go Victoria.” Selena says as they walk to her car. Selena has a lot on her mind now that one of her friends co-workers had explained more of the situation to her. Selena’s immediate desire would be to tell Victoria that she can stay with her since her terrible parents kicked her out. Even when she eventually found her feet Selena would let her stay with her indefinitely if that's what her friend so desired. She couldn't just say any of that though. This was for for two reasons.
Number 1: Victoria hadn't yet told her herself that she had been kicked out by her parents. If she didn't feel comfortable sharing that information then Selena would never have a logical reason to offer her place as Victoria’s new home.
Number 2: Even if Victoria told her she had been kicked out she'd see Selena’s offer as nothing but a sign that Selena pitied her friend and didn't trust her to be able to handle herself.
Selena needed to think of a way to phrase the idea of Victoria living with her in such a way where it actually looked like she was doing her a big favor and not the other way around. While Selena thought about this they arrived at her very expensive car.
“I've already messaged Gary to tell him he's driving me and a friend home. I told him we would be having a private conversation so he's rolled the soundproof screen door up.” She explained as she opened the door for her friend. In Selena’s corrupted memory Victoria had sat in such luxury multiple times with her when in reality this would probably be the most expensive car she had ever been in.

Victoria knows that she will have an opportunity to alter Selena’s mind more in the ride to her home, but, decides against that because she doesn’t know how long it will be. The risk would be too great.
While waiting for Selena’s driver to come, Victoria paces back and forth nervously. Eventually she croaks, “I... was kicked out.... They.... kicked me out.... ‘Good Jewish girls find a nice man and get married.’” She vents. Victoria throws her water bottle at the wall as the two women await the car’s arrival.
“They wouldn’t let me take anything I didn’t pay for.... they kept my dog... my old phone... computer... everything...” She walks over and hugs Selena. She starts to cry as Gary pulls up, preventing Selena from saying anything just yet.

Even though Selena knew everything Victoria had just said from her colleague she didn't have to fake her outrage whatsoever. “Oh my god. I can't believe they did that! I knew your parents were conservative but I didn't expect them to be such extreme arseholes!”
She had to take a moment to catch her breath and let her blood cool. “I'm so sorry Victoria. You deserve so much better than to be treated like that.” She knew she had thought that she shouldn't offer her home because Victoria might think she was acting out of pity, but she couldn't help it when she saw her friend so sad.
“Stay with me Victoria. You know I love to have you around. You can stay with me as long as you'd like to.” Trying to make it sound like a favor to her she added. “Now that I've moved on from my ex I'm going to be living alone indefinitely. You know how bad I am at that. Please consider it?”

What Selena doesn’t know is that she just invited the person that is essentially her lesbian stalker, who has influence over her mind, to live with her. Of course, Victoria is going to say yes, but she’s going to wait until the right time... and to corrupt Selena’s mind much, much more. By the time Victoria is done, since she will likely have her way, Selena will probably be more like Hayley Kiyoko then herself. “I’ll stay with you...”
Victoria laughs, “Like how you almost burned your house down trying to make scrambled eggs and bacon last year?” She smiles for the first time in about the last 10 minutes. She hugs Selena one more time.
Victoria looks at Selena and says, “Good thing I’m such a good cook.” Before Selena can answer, there’s a flash. Of course the paparazzi. Victoria secretly hopes that the photo makes it appear that the two women were kissing. If she’s that lucky, then she will have ‘photographic evidence,’ to match a future alteration of Selena’s mind.

Selena’s back was facing the flash, so she was completely unaware of it for the time being. “You'd really cook for me?” She said, astounded by her friends generosity. She held her friends hand in her own and kissed her on the cheek to express her appreciation. If the paparazzi didn't get what looked like a full on kiss before they definitely got it then. “Victoria, you're too good to me. I don't deserve a friend like you.” She was just happy she had agreed to live with her indefinitely. She had been afraid that they'd fight over it.
Selena finally noticed the reflection of the flashes in Victoria’s eyes and she stilled. “There are paparazzi behind me aren't there?” She asked rhetorically. She didn't need to hear a response to know the answer was yes. She definitely had a low opinion of that profession. The paparazzi were like any other stalkers expect for the small fact that they also got paid for their creepy efforts. “I'm so sorry you got caught with me Victoria, now everyone's going to think we're dating or something,” she huffed out a sigh, “like they think it's impossible for two girls to be intimate with each other and be not involved romantically. Seriously. Let's just hope that my driver Gary comes quick-”
Like a gift from the heavens Gary choose that moment to roll up to their section of the sidewalk. Fantastic, now they could finally talk in private. Just her and Victoria alone together. Some of Selena’s favorite memories of their friendship was when they were alone together now that she thought about it. “We should get inside the car where we can continue chatting away from prying eyes.” She said to her friend as she opened the door for her.

Victoria laughs lightly. "Well... how else am I supposed to pay rent?" Being well aware of the paparazzi before Selena, she takes full advantage, hoping for more photos and more 'evidence' to point to when she further alters Selena's mind later.
Once Selena notices and asks the rhetorical question, Victoria nods. To her comment about people thinking that they are dating she says, "Why no 'fake it?' It might get your ex off your back, bring more business in to help me get back on my feet, and give you some positive publicity?" Her tone is sincere, slightly hopeful. She made the comment softly, to keep the paparazzi from hearing her however.
Of course, as Gary pulls up, the paparazzi are shouting various comments and questions. "Selena who is your girlfriend?" "When did you realize you were bi or lesbian?" "Is this to get back at your ex?" "How long have you two been dating?" "Are you officially going to 'come out?'" Seeing Selena open the door, Victoria just slides into the limo. She takes a quick moment to marvel at the expensive car while Selena turns her attention to the paparazzi momentarily.
Victoria slides out her phone, quickly adding Selena's number to her contacts. She sends the singer a text to allow her to add the number to her own phone. And she discreetly sends a quote to TMZ from one of her email addresses, one which Selena's corrupted mind wouldn't recognize. The quote reads, "Selena and Victoria have been dating each other for an unknown amount of time. The romance is a whirlwind as Victoria is moving in with Selena today." She signs it 'Victoria's co-worker, and matchmaker, Ashley.' Victoria also goes to Ashley's IG and screenshot's a photo she took of Victoria working on Selena's hair.
The quote on IG was 'OMG, Selena is getting her hair done by my BFF!' Ashley also happened to be the one that told Selena about Victoria's situation. Victoria makes it look like it was her co-worker trying to set the two women up as a couple, and that she was the one that tipped off the paparazzi.

Selena, being blissfully unaware of Victoria reporting to TMZ, thinks about her suggestion instead. Would them pretending to be a couple really be so bad? It would definitely get her ex of her back and her friend seemed to think it would help with her work… On the other hand however, she never had had any sexual or romantic interest in women, by pretending to be in a relationship with Victoria she'd be pretending to be a lesbian/bisexual also. Did she really want to lie so flippantly about a topic that was so serious and emotionally heavy as sexuality? Plus there was a concern that people would think she was a positive role model for something she actually wasn't.
Selena was still weighing the pros and cons. The one thing she had decided though was if she was to fake coming out to help her friend, she wouldn't just shout it across the street to the paparazzi. Her sexuality, even when lied about, deserved a more respectable setting. For the time being though Selena just flipped off the paparazzi and got in her car.
Gary knew to start driving home immediately, which was good because now that the screen door was closed for privacy she wouldn't be able to communicate with her driver at all. Selena may not know it, but she was in an enclosed space with an obsessed fan who could bring her into trance whenever she said ‘Under for Tori’. To say she was at Victoria’s mercy would be an understatement. “Sorry about all the fuss back there. I'm still thinking about whether we should pretend to be a couple or not, so I'll get back to you on that. Now that we're all alone want do you want to talk about?”

Victoria smiles, "Honestly, there is a lot that we need to talk about." She glances up at the sound-proof privacy screen, then back to Selena. "Like what room I'll be staying in, what food I'll be cooking, if I can borrow your clothes..." She laughs, hardly able to contain her excitement, "... and how I want you to go 'Under for Tori.'"
Victoria takes Selena's still open phone after she slips back into the trance, and texts Gary that once we arrive home, that because we are having a private conversation, he is not to bother or interrupt us until Selena tells him otherwise. Victoria has big, big plans for altering Selena's mind. Where her ex only did so to keep their relationship going, Victoria has other plans. She plans to make herself a permanent fixture of Selena's life, publicly, privately, and romantically.
But, first things first, "Selena, you will accept that offer I made, that we should enter a 'fake lesbian relationship.' However, the longer that we are together, the more photos you see of us together, and the more we kiss, the more that you will fall in love with me. It will feel natural. As this happens, you will lose any and all interest that you have in men. Slowly, you will find your true self, that you have been lying to yourself, your fans, and your family. That you have been a lesbian the entire time, and that your ex blinded you of that for years." Victoria says with an obsessively victorious voice. She knows that she has complete control of Selena's mind, and that she can keep tweaking it, and cementing her influence and control to the point that Selena will never have any resistance.

Selena’s subconscious is only capable of agreeing with what it's told in this state. She can do nothing as her thoughts and feelings crack and give way to Victoria’s will. She emotionlessly tells repeats her orders back to her so she can check that they were correctly interpreted and completely understood.
“We will start a fake relationship. The longer we're together the more I'll realize that I actually want a real relationship with. I've been a lesbian my whole life, I've just been lying to everyone about it, including myself. I will realize this as I realize that I have genuine feelings for you. My ex has blinded me to my true self for years, it is only through you that I will find who I'm meant to be.”
With that the process is done. The words stop being words and instead become the actresses new reality. Nothing can break her out of such hypnotically enforced delusions unless whoever is with her when she's in trance tells her to become who she used to be. Considering Selena’s company, the chances of that happening were slim at best. Selena becomes silent again, ready to be given more instructions if that is what Victoria’s wishes.

Victoria practically squeals at her success. She pushes further, altering and twisting Selena's reality more and more. "Now Selena, you will brush off and ignore anyone who says that our relationship is toxic or fake. In fact, it will make your love for me stronger." Victoria takes Selena's hand, blushing. She can feel her own heart racing, while Selena's, in her entranced state is calm.
"Also, you are never frightened or concerned about my obsessive love for you. Rather, it flatters you and you think it's sweet. Most importantly, once you realize that you are a lesbian, you will be open about your sexuality, proud of it. Selena, you will even be open about our relationship. You will use your platform to be an inspiration, a beacon for LGBTQ people around the world."
Victoria goes on and on about various small or seemingly minor details. She slowly starts to think about how to bring Selena out of the trance, and more importantly, make sure that in the future, Selena will only hear in when in a trance.
"Now, Selena. From this point forward, when you are in this state, you can only hear my voice." Victoria says, making it impossible for anyone to ever be able to reverse her hypnotic alterations of Selena Gomez.

Selena keeps repeating Victoria's words as her world gets more and more distorted into the shape the once hairstylist prefers. “Our relationship isn't toxic or fake. Anyone who tries to tell me otherwise is a lying jerk and will make me even more devoted to you. I find it flattering that your so obsessively in love with me, it's actually very sweet.” Selena is still completely out of it but just talking about your obsessiveness to her makes her body heat up and her cheeks blush.
She continued going over your speech which becomes her mantra. “I will be completely open about my sexuality and about my relationship to you once I realized that's who I really am. I will be an LGBTQ icon for the entire world to see and feel empowered and inspired by.” Selena listens to every little request you have for her and as her mind takes them in. Her subconscious literally believes these are all its ideas after all. To resist Victoria now would feel like it was resisting itself.
“When I am in this state your voice is the only one I will ever be able of hearing. I only comprehend Victoria.” With that final order implanted firmly into Selena, she was now forever doomed to be bow to her stalkers desires. She was a puppet of Victoria's wants and whims, and no one on earth could change that.

Victoria starts to fan herself as she gets hot and flushed by the control she has over Selena. An idea pops into her head, causing her to smirk deviously. “But, one thing that you will never say publicly, is that you once we become romantically, and in turn sexually involved with each other, you will develop a hypnosis fetish. You will want, every now and then, for your girlfriend to hypnotize you as we make love.”
Victoria, who still has Selena’s phone, which at this point is blowing up with comments, mentions, etc., as the paparazzi photos and the TMZ ‘quote,’ spread like wildfire. She types up a message to Selena’s adoring fans on IG, using a photo she takes of the two women holding hands. The message reads, ‘As many of you have seen, I have moved on from my ex. I met this beautiful woman, Victoria, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes us. <3 #loveislove .’
However, Victoria doesn’t post the message. Instead, she places the phone back in Selena’s hands. “Selena, I am going to count backwards from 3. When I reach 1, you will awaken, reading the message you are about to send to me, wanting advice on it.” Victoria counts backwards from three, knowing that Selena is now her puppet, but more importantly will be her lover, for the rest of her life.

“I'll never tell anyone this, but as our relationship becomes genuine I'll developed a hypnosis fetish. I'll love being hypnotized by you when we make love.” Selena repeats. The actress does nothing to stop you as you write an Instagram post for her. She's like a mannequin in this state, frozen in place until moved into a desirable position.
When she reawakens from trance it takes her a second to get her bearings. What was she doing again? She looks at her phone in her hand and sees the unsent post she obviously must have typed. When she read it she remembers. That's right, I'm pretending to be dating my best friend, Victoria. “So ‘girlfriend’” she jokingly said. “What do you think of this as a way to come out to my fans and tell them we're dating?” She showed her the phone to get her opinion on the message.

Victoria ‘reads’ the message. “Well, I like the message... but, ‘baby,’ is that a photo worthy of the ‘Queen’ of Insta?” She says in a teasing tone. She looks through the photos of their ‘kiss’ on her own phone and frowns that none have either woman smiling.
“I have an idea...” Victoria says. She grabs the phone, deleting the photo and opens the camera app. She gingerly turns Selena’s chain towards her and tenderly kisses the actress, taking several photos. She blushes upon breaking the kiss.
“How about one of those?” She says with a shy tone.

Selena breathlessly pants out her response. “One of those should do fine,” she wheezed out. She definitely hadn't expected to have her first kiss with a women when she got up this morning. She was surprised she found it so incredibly hot. That couldn't be right could it? She was sure she had been straight her whole life. She rationalized her arousal just as nerves from planning to trick everyone in her life. After all, that was what she'd be doing when she announced her ‘relationship’ with Victoria to the entire world.
Selena looked at the new picture of them kissing which went along with the post and couldn't help but smiling a little bit. Her and Victoria looked really good together, even though they were faking it of course. Their chemistry was probably so good because some of Selena's acting abilities had rubbed off on her friend. “You ready to send it?” She asked before something in her made her add, “I mean, we could kiss some more just to make sure we get the best possible photo. Unless you think that picture is good enough?” She wasn't sure what possessed her to even ask such a question as that. She just hope she didn't make a fool of herself with Victoria.

Victoria blushes, biting her lip. She practically had Selena eating out of the palm of her hand. “Well.... I certainly wouldn’t mind a few more kisses.” She winks at the actress.
Victoria isn’t sure how long it will take Selena to fall for her. She doesn’t want to flip her mind in one alteration and have her reject the commands. So, for now, she is happy to go with the flow.
She leans in and blushes a little darker. “You know Selena.... if you keep treating me like this, I’ll just be obsessed with you.” Victoria doesn’t give her ‘girlfriend’ a chance to answer and kisses her. But this time, there’s a little more passion. She breaks the kiss, giggling like a schoolgirl that just kissed her crush.
Victoria finds one in which both she and Selena are smiling through the kiss. She picks that one, and posts it to Selena’s IG story. Victoria nonchalantly says, “We’re going to have fun dating.” Her tone implies that she doesn’t know what is happening in Selena’s head. But, she’s already seen the hints of the results of her words.

Selena had always found obsession, particularly when she was the target of it, extremely unnerving and uncomfortable on a good day and life threatening on a bad one. However, for some unthinkable reason, she found herself actually quite flattered when Victoria said she might get obsessed with her. It was like she had fallen into an alternate universe where that was a compliment without noticing. Unsure of her strange newfound opinions on obsession she just mumbled out, “uh, thanks,” as a reply to Victoria's statement.
When she thought about it more deeply she realized she was still uncomfortable with the idea of random strangers being obsessed with her. That must be the heart of it, Victoria definitely wasn't a stranger. They had known each other for years. They had laughed and cried together and told each other things they had promised to never tell anyone else. Victoria was so near and dear to her heart that she was an exception to her rule on obsession.
Finally understanding her own stance Selena replied again, this time with a lot more confidence. “You know what Victoria, if through the fake dating process we ever get to a point where you are obsessed with me, I think I'd be happy learning to live with that.” She couldn't help grinning cheekily at the idea. When she heard her friend say that they were going to have fun dating, her only response was, “I wholeheartedly agree.”

Victoria smiles, internally screaming for joy that she has so much power over her celeb crush. She turns to her phone, seeing her follows on IG and Twitter go up practically 100 times over. ‘Perks of having a famous girlfriend’ she thinks.
“About that kiss....” Victoria says bashfully. “You’re good... better than any woman I’ve kissed before.” She chuckles, looking at Selena, seeing her still-flushed face. “Don’t tell me you didn’t enjoy it.... at least a little.” She winks, flirting with her ‘fake,’ girlfriend.
She also scans the replies to Selena’s coming out post, although for now it’s ‘fake,’ looking for negative ones. Finding several in a row, Victoria smirks. She makes a scoffing sound and turns her phone around to face Selena.
“Looks like the trolls are already out in force.” The comments read, ‘FAKE.’ ‘Selena must have been hacked.’ ‘Looks like someone is out for publicity.’ ‘Must be why Selena’s ex dumped her so many times.’ Victoria knows that these comments will piss Selena off, but based on her words while Selena was entranced, she knows the adverse effect might make Selena come to a realization sooner.

Selena didn't really think before she replied with the truth. “It was one of the best kisses in my life.” The poor actresses was just trying to get her heart rate under control. She was feeling things now for her friend that she hadn't even felt for men she had crushed on in the past. Even if what that meant was obviously, Selena was still too strongly in the denial phase to acknowledge it. Accepting that she had subconsciously been a closeted lesbian all her life was still a bit far off.
Victoria's comment about trolls finally gets her out of her own head. “How dare they call our relationship fake!” She was quick to react before noticing the irony of her statement. “I mean, they're technically right, but still!
